There is an item on the agenda called "Superintendent’s Entry Plan, Engagement and Action in the First 6 Months."

There is also a four-page memo on safety and security:

Interesting, that must be new as I looked the other day. So, not much. A few more security guards, some cameras (about time) and just telling the students to behave. Given that document, they need to expand the CRO program, camera's at all schools and much more.

Via a boring, uninspired, asynchronous learning module on Canvas. Yeah, that'll really win their hearts and minds over.

That's the best Dr. Taylor could come up with? Give me a break.

You just proved you knew nothing about the mva.

I wasn’t making any claims about the MVA so what the heck are you talking about?

We should close lowest 50% of high schools based on standardized tests and use the money to reinstate MVA. Just please don't look at the demographics of those schools.

This is more about the strategic plan than immediate changes:

"During my first six months, I will be engaging with staff members, students, parents, community
partners, government leaders, and internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and hear
their interests and concerns about our school system. A number of engagement meetings and
events have been held to date with more planned in the coming months allowing me to build
positive relationships with whom I am interacting. What I hear and learn will be incorporated into
the next district strategic plan, which is being developed this year for Fiscal Years 2026–2029."

Nothing about how he will deal with budget cliff.

Yeah, I was wondering what news I'd missed. Maybe he said it in an internal MCPS meeting and the PP is posting insider news?

He said it at the mva meeting. Of course if they stopped the wasteful spending, that could fix the budget.

Maybe just the bottom 1/3. Did you ever look at the demographics of the MVA?

But that’s good news given the program’s failure to educate kids

It's only good news if you care about your kids more than your fears.
