Usha Vance Dresses

They should've walked into the convention dressed like this

She will probably transform. Soon enough, she will wear bright pink cheesy suits and have a face full of filler.

She will look like a cat like the rest of them.

You would be surprised how many men are attracted to that combination, so she isn't "look at me." Women waste a lot of time on procedures and hair extensions and preventative botox and all that blah-blah-blah thinking that makes you attractive.

Truly don't understand any of the posts saying she's beautiful. She's somewhat plain looking but not ugly. I think she's a little too thin, but a lot of people consider a physique like hers to be ideal. So, overall, I think she look fine...and I can see how someone would say she's above average given her body. But I simply don't get where this notion that she's some great beauty is coming from.

She really should get better clothes and makeup, though. I'm really surprised there was literally not a single makeup artist at the RNC that could help her. I'm in tech and not highly visible, and they have had makeup artists available to me for far smaller appearances.

DP. She's attractive, but I agree beautiful is stretching it.

This kind of exemplifies why this place is nuts. Until Monday, Usha could have been a frequent DCUM poster: DC lawyer mom with three small kids and a husband who seems pretty focused on his own career and seems to have evolved in a pretty negative way through the years. But suddenly this (mostly) normal person is getting all this criticism that she did not put enough makeup on to deal with the convention and TV lights? C'mon I have been clicking on some of your fashion links for years. Let me say I am skeptical that the vast majority of DCUM posters would have made better fashion choices in the same circumstances.

This place is nuts because the poster you quoted *checks notes* said she was fresh faced and that TV and stage lighting wouldn’t be as forgiving on them?

She was a regularish person on Monday. This place is nuts because you are criticizing her makeup on Wednesday night even though normal people don’t know how to put on makeup for the big lights. Look at all of you acting like you would have done it better.

You think he was just asked Monday afternoon? He was probably asked weeks ago. She had ample time to get a makeup artist and hairstylist. They are worth millions. The “I’m just a mom like you” act is just that, an act, so that you think her husband is harmless. Don’t fall for it.

Nah, put me in the camp that thinks Trump kept all those a** kissers stringing along until the last possible minute to feed his own ego.

Look for a month now I've been planning what I am wearing on a week long cruise. You think this lady can't buy a dress and get a haircut just in case her neckbeard fascist gets picked for the job he was the frontrunner for? Give me a break.

How do we know she didn’t get a haircut and buy that dress? Looks like she did both to me.

+ a million

I'm 15 years older than her and I'm overweight so American and DCUM would have definite opinions, but I would have at least booked an appointment with a personal shopper at Nordstrom or Neiman's and brought a friend along to help critique outfits. And I would have had a blowout.

She and JD are both in red tonight

It’s just gravity, people. He will destroy their reputations and/or marriage, and/or careers, just like he has for everyone in his orbit. How do you all think he is Teflon Don? He gains that armor by letting everyone around him get hit by all the bullets. They think because they have fancy educations they will outsmart or outlive him. What adorable hubris.

It starts with the relatively understandable steps that any ruthless striver would take: selling out your principles in the hopes of gaining some of Trump’s power. Then she quits her job, some right wing loons start saying racist things about her, the media starts scrutinizing him more closely.

And then, the pressure begins. The environment Trump creates is one of constant negativity and stress. They try to insulate themselves but over time cracks form. I don’t know if she’s going to change her “style” or whatever, but over time, they will have less than what they started with.

I’m going to check on this post in a year or two to see how it all pans out.

This is accurate.

No it isn’t. Usha is the brains behind JD, and she wants Project 2025 to happen. Trump is just the front for that. They’ll be sitting pretty for the rest of their lives once Trump wins.

Who cares what she wears- don’t be si shallow. Usha Vance clerked for Kavanaugh. Scary times. Sounds like a total sell out in every way. Her Indian ancestors are rolling in their graves.

I am the OP with the big long theory. I mean there are several ways this could go, based on what has happened to everyone else:

The Supreme Court: reputations destroyed, place in history destroyed, institution irrevocably damaged, they don't seem to actually care- this is kind of a best outcome for anyone in Trump's orbit
It could be a Kellyanne: marriage and home life destroyed
Mike Pence and Mother: actual attempted murder by cultists, never seen again
Nikki Haley: totally degraded self, probably has no chance for higher office ever
Ron DeSantis: ditto
His kids: shudder

She's pretty and has a very nice, fit body. I wish I looked like that after three kids!

Your DH needs to get a life.

I love that she isn't wearing heels. Good for her!

Also, maybe she has foot injuries or something.

I'm jealous that pp's husband even knows what an espadrille IS.

Um, no there is not a nod to her heritage there, unless you are talking about her AMERICAN heritage. Born and raised in the USA. She is AMERICAN.

How disgusting of you to think that successful women can't also care about their looks.
