How much do you drink?

OP here. Had three beers at a get together the other day. First booze in six weeks. Gross.

You're an alcoholic. Seek help for your problem.

Not much anymore. Probably 1-2 drinks once or twice a month. I find that I have completely lost the tolerance for alcohol in general, plus I feel much better and more awake and alert in the evenings after ditching the happy hour routine.

Zero

Living in the DMV? Not nearly enough.

None, but that's because I have alcohol use disorder and no amount is safe for me. It was a really struggle to give it up, but now I don't miss it at all. However, I pass zero judgment on those who drink some, drink a bit too much, or drink way too much. And I don't judge those who don't partake either. No one needs to feel superior to someone else or make judgments on what someone else should be doing.

It varies widely, from no drinks at all in a week to 3 or 4 cocktails or beers several times a week, and any amount in between. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it either. I'm 55 y.o., for reference and grew up in an environment where drinking in moderation was the norm.

None at home, really. Maybe if we have guests for the holidays. DH loves cocktails and makes them for me occasionally (without asking if I want one) and I usually take one sip and forget about it.

I'll normally have one cocktail or a glass of wine if having dinner at a nice restaurant, maybe once a month. Oh, and the occasional brunch mimosa.

I don't judge people who drink more - I'm just more of a coffee drinker.

I could have written this. I probably drink 10 times a year, always related to some kind of holiday or party. It otherwise never occurs to me. I don't smoke or do weed or anything else either. I don't even drink coffee regularly. I'm not against it, I just don't do it. I'm generally pretty good in an un-altered state.

I do love champagne. So I have a glass on special occasions sometimes. I think the last time was NYE. I would estimate that I have 4-6 glasses of wine, most of them sparkling, per year. And there is no alcohol in my house.

Now on Wegovy, and don't ever feel like drinking again. So that's a separate thing, I guess.

Those drugs can help curb the desire to drink. They're actually looking at them for use with alcoholics.

0. It makes me sick. I miss social drinking at parties, but it’s not worth the symptoms.

I probably have 7 a week. Once or twice on weekdays and two on Friday and Saturday night. 58 year old woman.

It seems like a worthy subject I occasionally check in with people on. And I have to say it feels good to see that even more people are agreeing that booze is just not that important!
