BRF Fashion Thread

I have noticed that the royal family fashions have relaxed since Queen Elizabeth’s death. In particular, the acid green outfit, Kate would ver have opted for the lower square neckline in 2023.

Diana was quite adventurous once she left the mumsy, poofy-sleeves and polkadot phase. Sarah would have worn that neckline during her marriage.

Regular coats, worn as outerlayer, are fantastic and I wish we saw more in DC. It's so mild here, and mostly everyone dashes from office/party/house to car that we don't wear them.

Sorry but are you saying women in the dc area do not wear coats? What now?

I’ve found this to be the case since moving a bit further out into Northern Va!! People just go from car to building to car again, and seem to skip coats a lot of the time! DH grew up in the area and does this too…I never understood how that could possibly make sense (I am from NYC), and then we moved here.

I don't think so. I have lived all over DC and Northern Virginia and do not find this to be the case, except maybe for special occasions when people don't know what to do with their coats and there may n to be a coat check.

This dress is perfection and I hope to see more of a tailored look (or can I dare for sporty and preppy) this year by attendees of the royal box.

and I like this net a porter version even better:

I like Kate’s skirt with the other top. But no one should wear that color.

Posters here including me have been complaining about the endless coat dresses cut from almost the same pattern. Nobody thinks Kate shouldn’t wear coats or get cold.

I am Zoe Saldana's, Kerry Washington's, etc color and colors like this look good on me. But ivory, light beige, muted olive, no good.

DP. I absolutely wear coats in the winter! I actually live for cold weather so I can break out my coats.

Coatdresses, not coats. Nobody begrudges a woman a coat to keep warm.

After reading the post comparing Kate's dress color to a tennis ball, that's all I can see.

Sarah Ferguson never had the body to carry off outfits like Diana and Kate.

She had a fine, normal body, and she was adventerous in her dressing choices. Get a grip. And before you go there, I have a body like Diana's.
