There's nothing stopping you from doing so.

Cost dresses are considered old-fashioned--they wear them because that is what the queen had preferred. The other European royal women do not wear them--they wear regular dresses, pantsuits, etc.

I agree, the coat dress is less not a top option unless you are literally the BRF. No one else is wearing them. I think they look so boring and they are very uncomfortable to wear (I unfortunately found this out first hand when I lived in England.)

Regular coats, worn as outerlayer, are fantastic and I wish we saw more in DC. It's so mild here, and mostly everyone dashes from office/party/house to car that we don't wear them.

I have broad shoulders so the boxiness of this one's upper half isn't a problem. I would've bought the red-orange version if it had been in stock at the time.

Here's another one I'd considered, but the way the waist is cut in so much and rides high would've looked terrible on me.

Eugenia is never in anything flattering, ever. Beatrice and Catherine both seem flawlessly turned out in very different styles.
I’d never have predicted this, but Camilla was born to wear giant tiaras and jewelry. Is she tall? I think having a good build and not being hyper thin makes all manner of things look terrific on her.

Sorry but are you saying women in the dc area do not wear coats? What now?

That fitted short dress in the first link is not the kind the BRF wears. They wear double sided fabric A line shaped coat dresses that go below the knee, in primary colors. In any event in your post for each dress, you pointed out their flaws but made excuses for them.

Hold on a sec. Are you the pp I responded to in good faith? I thought a poster was asking me where I got a coat dress that I enjoy wearing, so I responded with a link plus a second link to show another one for consideration. You know, general chat about coat dresses because I thought you were genuinely interested.

Camilla, even though she is a homewrecker, looks amazing! The hat! The hat is so big you guys, and she really pulled it off.

I like that color on her.

Who on this thread is wearing a coat dress? Where did all the discussion of coat dresses come from? Camilla looks lovely, but she's wearing a coat over a dress. Love her hat.
