Maybe you're an insider who knows all the deets, but for me a call for emails to the Arlington County School Board based on unsubstantiated rumors, calling out other SB members who may or may not have anything to do with it is so stupid. I hope Mary and her friends can fix it because I actually do like her as a school board member and think she would be just as good of a chairperson as anyone else.

Of course not. You're just being obtuse. AEM OP did the job for Mary, whether she asked for it or not. And boy did she go hard. And not in a good way. Hope they got what they wanted out of it. Because from where I sit, AEM OP and friends just made it a lot harder for Mary to conduct business with her colleagues.

I'm not in anyone's camp including Mary's. I like her as a SB member, but honestly, the others have been quite kind to me too. I have no reason to believe that they are as Machiavellian evil as overnight OP portrays.

So please do what AEM OP urges. Write each individual member board member under your real name individually and yell at them for a rumor that you heard from another "insider". Also go to AEM and post all of these nonsensical accusations for everyone to see under your real name again. Please report back how that goes. I'm not doing a thing for any of of you or Mary. She's a big girl and if true, has agency to settle this issue behind closed doors. Get your gavel, woman! She still has to work with them for six months regardless what happens and some of you are making it much, much worse for her.

More deflection! Can we get back to talking about what CDT, BZS and DP are doing? They are trying to block Mary from being chair and installing Bethany instead! Listen to yourselves. There are a few things I've learned in the past few days

1.) Mary is this fragile, wilted flower and um, minions must fight for her to keep their own insiderness/power over others?
2.) Anyone who isn't "in the know" is a CDT/DP minion. I didn't even know there were CDT/DP supporters until today. Lol.
3.) We should all follow Mary supporters and their unsubstantiated conclusions, based on wtf and omg.

DP. I like Mary and the fact that she is thoughtful and deliberative in her discussions and decisions. I don't think anyone certainly nobody I know has a problem with her and think she will be a fine SB chair. I have a problem with people in here and AEM are responding to rumors and denigrating other SB members for what is perceived to be happening. Do we even know that Mary is being shut out of the SB chair role, and why it's being done so besides some "insider" told us so? Who even told the insider? Mary? Every reason that supporters have thrown out makes no sense to me. So we are called minions and not "in the know". Whatever.

This is a really thoughtful post for DCUM, thank you. I too am confused why we're just taking anonymous people's words for what's going on in the SB boardroom. It's like all rumor. No substance.
