Those who are 5'4"- 5'5" what is your best weight?

My HW which is also my starting weight was 294....as an adult my best was 163.
I've crept back up to 192 BUT working on getting down 130-145ish and hoping to maintain somewhere in there.

I’m a hair under 5’4”, and I feel best at 112-114. My build is on the larger end of small (30F bra size and I am not super narrow). I look mostly fine up to 125, start looking chubby above that. I’ve been as low as 107 in times of extreme stress and looked gaunt then.

I’m currently at my best weight at 40, 145 lbs. I was 175-200 for most of my adult life, and even more when pregnant. I’m still a bit chubby and have weight to lose, but have addressed the hormonal and lifestyle factors that made it very difficult to stick with good habits before now. I’d like to drop about 10 more pounds.

135 at 5'4" does seem like an ideal weight

Hi, PP. I’m the same height and build. How old are you? Are you able to maintain your ideal weight for long periods of time?

I think it depends on your frame. I am 5'4" and 133, and it does not look ideal on me, but I am small boned. I look best around 125, which is a size 6 for me.

That's why this compare and contrast exercise is a little silly--it's all personal to how you look and feel, not an arbitrary number.

Agree. I am 5’5 and 145 but I have very little fat (except big boobs) and I have great muscle mass. People would never guess I’m 145..when I was 120 people told me I looked deathly ill and sickly. It’s interesting how different people carry weight differently.

I am 5’5 and people thought I looked sickly at 133 because my face got so thin. I am 147 now and would ideally like to be 137, but happy at a healthy weight at this point from a BMI standpoint.

I'm 5'4" and think I look best at 133. A toned curvy size 4-6. I was a gymnast and have very dense muscle or something.

I look fantastic at 128 but have to really restrict myself and it's not worth it.

I'm 150 now and I hate it.

I know. I am 5’5 and I was 120 at marriage and got back to 125 after a few kids and then 135 after the rest. I’ve been up to 148 last year and now 140 but the weight loss is slow. I am in much better shape and more muscular than I ever was before. I was just skinny back in the day. I can’t imagine being 125 again. Not sure it’s possible. I think people would also be surprised that I’m 140 but I hate it. I am trying to lose more.

I thought I looked pretty good at 120/125, but my "sweet spot" (the weight I can stay at without much effort) seems to be 135, which is a size 4 and pretty cute. Might try to get down to 130 this time. (Currently 38w pregnant and, uh, not 130.)

Same. Trying to get down to 133[/quote

Same here. Exactly my weight trajectory at 5’5” 63 now and am trying to get back to 135. But it’s tough! Feel (and am) healthy though and that’s important per my doctor.

Hi, PP here. I’m in my early 30s. I can maintain 113-115 without thinking too hard about it, yes. But I run 3-4 times a week and live in NYC (so I walk everywhere).

Drinking is what makes the difference for me. I tried to maintain 110 for a few months, and essentially had to cut out drinking to do that, which I didn’t think was worth it. If I kick up my drinking, like during the holidays or just a heavy social schedule, and don’t compensate with exercise, I find the pounds creep on pretty quickly.

I'm 5'4" and currently 48 years old. My current weight is 115. In my 20s I was 99 lbs, then before pregnancy at 39 I was 112 lbs. Last year my best weight was around 108-110. I noticed that within the last few months it is very hard to lose weight, and I'm literally eating healthy all the time ( no fast food, no sodas/juices, no alcohol, rarely eating out or ordering food, very limited sugar intake). I guess, I'm premenopausal and getting older, and my metabolism is not what it used to be.
