I'm panicked

For graduate school, I went off a recommendation from a past student I met at work.

Both worked out.

It still seems odd to me that people visit so many schools before they go. Lol

+1. Some people make their kids visit school before they apply! Mind blowingly stupid. Have a 17 year old "fall in love" with a school based on some random observations, and then watch them crush in disappointment come decision time. Why do people do this to their own kid is beyond me. Get your acceptances first, then visit your top 2-3 choices among your acceptances. That's what we did. Worked out well.

Why are you so panicked? It is your kid going to college, not you.

Did he get accepted? They received 105,000 applications. Deferred means rejected for Michigan.

Waitlisted so it's not being considered obviously

I'm having such anxiety about the rushed timing, or if he gets sick and can't visit when he plans and him not being able to decide. I can't believe it's come down ot the wire. He has travel and a senior spring break trip and then a sports thing he doesn't want to miss first weekend in April. Do these second visits and/or tours once they're admitted really help seal the deal? He visited both a year ago w just us went out briefly. The return visits are for games, meeting kids in frat, one seeing tour of business school, and I guess just more overnight w kids who are students there.

I'm stuck on meeting kids in frat!?! This is a thing for admitted students?

Wdym? Why is this so crazy? I def have more anxiety than the average person but not sure why it's that crazy I'm strsssed. It's a huge decision that's down to a matter of days to decide. Or is my anxiety really clouding this?

It's okay to be anxious about this. You are fine. But it will work out. Having three great universities to choose from is a good thing.

Please ignore all the nasty comments you are getting. People love being jerks on the internet. They are worse off than you.

UGA and Wisconsin are being considered. What is the third? Michigan was a WL.

Well, if they miss the mark it will be a great and valuable lesson in life that will serve them well in the future. Procrastination and indecision are not usually traits that successful people possess.

Because it helps them decide what they DO NOT want also.
