What trust? The are literally not prosecuting a crime in which they have all the goods.

the report literally says they don't have the goods
.

They found classified docs in his garage from 1977 to 202?. What more do you need?

Intent.

Yeah and they scratched that by basically pleading insanity.

Because Bumbling, Stumbling dementia Joe doesn’t know what he’s doing 80% of the time so he has to be innocent amarite?

No, you’re not right. Biden didn’t refuse a subpoena to produce these documents and didn’t have staff moving them into secret locked closets while signing affidavits telling authorities that he already had turned everything over.

Because Biden had no right to have the documents in the first place since they predated his presidency. Whether or not Trump was permitted to have them is an open question.

Not burrowed. Hur was appointed by Trump. Garland is such a dummy for appointing people who are obviously bad faith actors. Notice that the Trump AGs didn’t appoint democratic Obama appointees as special counsels!

This is further outgrowth of the pathetic, weak "When they go low, we go high!" horseshit that led to Dick Cheney retaining his liberty, etc.

The Democratic Party leadership is just pathetically weak - it's embarrassing, actually. The incoming curb stomping from the Republicans is, unfortunately, well deserved. What a mess.

Your complaints are confusing. Hur is not charging him. He could. He isn’t.

Confusing? Garland, in apparent Democratic Party tradition, wanted to appear well above board so he appointed Hur without consideration of the president who had appointed him. Do you think a Republican AG would have done that?

Look, the leadership of the Democratic Party is riddled with weak idiots. Just think of the past 20 years. Weak idiots when Pres. Obama was enabled to "turn the page" and not go after Cheney and the neocons for their handiwork around OIF. Weak idiots when Sen. Gillibrand was enabled to snipe Sen. Franken.

Time and again, we show up to knife fights and gun fights with our "dukes up", ready to engage like an old timey boxer. And time and again, we get our asses handed to us. Am I seriously the only person tiring of this?

The Republican Party doesn't need to be "on their game" to beat us. I guess we do most of the work for them!

Franken had more coming that you don’t know about.

This just enforces what I’ve been bothered by for over a year now. I think Biden is selfish as hell for running again at 80+.

It’s absolutely ridiculous.

I swear, I still hope he decides to retire. It’s not too late—though he’s leaving us in a bind to quickly find someone willing and able to take over the reigns of a monumentally important presidential campaign.

If Joe (selfishly) decides to stay in the race, I’ll vote for him because I’m not an idiot. But I’ll be pissed.

I’m a moderate dem and a Black woman, and I am ready for the 70+ crew to step aside.

I think he’d love to be retired. In fact, he didn’t even want to run last time. And it turned it down once before. He ran because he’d win- and spare us from dealing with Trump again. Running is the most selfless thing he could do.

Oh, please. He could have mentored a young heavy hitter so that we’d be well positioned for 2024.

I honestly think Joe didn’t want to give up power.

Again, he has my vote, but I’m not naive.

[PP]

If we let Biden fumble this election away, we will be primed to easily win in 2028 with several Dem governors that should be running in 2024.

Starting to feel a little like 2013 and RBG's selfishness all over again ...

Biden needs to hear more voices telling him to step down. We shouldn't sit back, be quiet and watch as Trump wins simply because we were content with a weak candidate and didn't want to hurt feelings.

LOL. Do you think this all hasn't already been decided? OF COURSE Biden will step down, this report gives him cover to do so to his most loyal supporters. I predict given the timing, it will happen soon, at a point where DNC can bypass the primaries and substitute whoever they want. If I really wanted to get conspiratorial, I might even speculate that there was an off the record deal not to prosecute in exchange for stepping down. The report says they aren't prosecuting due to his mental state, however he was not senile at the time he took the documents, some dating back to the 70's. I say all this because anyone who knows anything about politics knows how well everything is planned and timed, and there's certainly no coincidences.

If you're right, I would be so relieved! However I am not a conspiracy believer and I think Biden is holding on like a limpet to the Presidency. He's a really nice person, he's worked hard all his life, despite great personal tragedy, for the American people, but he needs to be pushed out. Harris has to step into his shoes. I'm sure she'll do a great job. I remember she was a great debater against Pence. She'll destroy Trump at the debates. If only it was Haley vs. Harris! That would make the fight a little more equal...

Only in your mind. He had no right to them, just as Pence and Biden didn't either. They are all the same, or they are not.

I’ll take Biden’s Swiss cheese brain over Harris. Regardless, he is finished. It is over.

Doesn't make Gillibrand less of a naive tool.

I have the utmost respect for Biden's legacy, but REALLY. HE HAS TO RETIRE.

It was a grave error to announce he was running again. His team knew at that point he was losing it. He may not have Alzheimer's or any particular form of dementia, the poor thing, HE'S JUST OLD. Too old to be President.

I am confident that a lot of Democrat candidates can beat Trump. Independents and moderate Republicans HATE the guy. MAGA is not enough to propel him to the Presidency.

What we need is Kamala Harris (or someone else who is a moderate Democrat) to take over Biden's spot.

I'm sure it can still be done, even after some states have already run their primaries.

Come on, people. Don't stick us with one of two senile individuals. Just because one of them is really nice, it doesn't mean he's not going to be an absolute disaster trying to showcase American strength against Putin, Iran or the Chinese.

I don’t. He’s a Washington elitist who is crooked and has been in Washington half a century and accomplished nothing except locking up POC. He’s everything that’s wrong with the country honestly and he deserves to live the rest of his days in a old retirement home

Biden as the incumbent is clearly a big problem but a bigger problem is the 10s of millions of people that still support Trump. At least Biden voters are smart enough to know when it is time to move on.

Hahahahaha.. they elected elected a senile man that didn’t even come out of his basement. And even still after a terrible economy, a disaster of a leader in foreign affairs, a border crisis, formula shortages, skyrocketing inflation and bringing us closer ti the brink of world war than any modern president he’s still supported by liberals with their head in the sand.

Bumbling, Stumbling dementia Joe has been a disaster from day one.

Terrible economy started under Trump.
The foerign affairs are a result of Putin being scared and lashing out: Gaza, Ukraine, Africa - all Putin.
Border crisis has been there since the 1990's or earlier. It didn't start under Biden and without legislation, it won't end under Biden.
Formula shortages were a private sector issue. Biden actually waived rules to get more formula on the shelves.
Inflation skyrocketed as a result of teh economic shock from COVID. Biden actually steered the lowest inflation in the world.

But sure, in your world...oh nevemind.
