More details on the board and Felder's claims of the "unsubstantiated" report findings thing. MCPS is just full of liars and deceivers. It's disgusting. And this isn't even such a big enough deal to be a lie worth telling. As Adam points, just fess up that you messed up and move on. But no one in MCPS can EVER admit they made a mistake. |
Oh. I didn’t realize journalists couldn’t use their voices to ask questions and demand follow ups without the almighty mic. Of course MCPS public comms was going to limit the questions as much as possible which is why you refuse to give up the mic, or use your outdoor voice to ask a follow up without the mic, or ask both of your questions when you have the mic rather than saying you will ask a second question once Silvestre is done ducking and not answering your first. |
| All can not be trusted. BOE, MCPS, MoCo Council. Vote out the elected ones and hold the hired ones accountable. Silvestre you are out next election. |
Yes and McKnight was their scapegoat. Felder is a McKnight clone and it's back to business as usual. |
Make Montgomery County Great Again! |
| What is the Board so afraid of? They oversee the Super. And Cram, what are you afraid of an employee speaking up, we all know MCPS ain't so great, in case you haven't been following the last several months. Remember how you botched up releasing CoVId #s during Omicron season. Can't believe how much MCPS cares about optics. You will continue to be exposed Central office! |

I’m really impressed by Felder’s achievements in Tennessee and North Carolina in terms of raising literacy, SAT and graduation rates. But there are some points raised by MCPS student journalists in a recent article about her that raised some questions.
Sounds like she was not licensed to work in Tennessee but did after her old mentor hired her. Seems like an important oversight. How could a school district admin not realize that you needed a state license? The mentor who brought her to Tennessee was fired for various reasons “including failing to report sexual harassment claims.” Was she working there at the time? In what role and what was her involvement in this situation? She failed to report a $4,000 consulting fee but that seems like a legit honest mistake and it looks like MCPS did look in to that. The MCPS hiring process was not transparent and there seem to be some implications they cut corners. Someone from the board and MCPS needs to explain this further. |
Who exactly will hold this Board accountable? MoCo Council? Ha! The Board have A LOT of explaining to do. The unredacted IG report needs to be released. That is our taxpayer's $ that was spent! Just as all industries are facing shortage, MoCO is facing one in finding competent humans to run for BOE and do the job they are elected to do. |
The voters. That's how the system works. |
You need to understand the system before you post. With incumbents running with no opposition, they will be back on the BOE. Some districts do not have more than one candidate so they will be elected as well. Why don't you run? |
+1 We do need more candidates to choose from. |
THIS |
I'm the PP you're responding to. I'm not carrying on about throwing all the bums out. I also understand the legal structure and systemic limitations of the BoE. That's why I'm not going to run. I am going to vote. |
That's a strong indication that most people are happy with things and the few malcontents that post her are in the minority. |
