Agreed- how long have previous (national not just state/MCPS) searches taken? Even if they started it last year, I imagine the public facing search takes time and hopefully includes lots of vetting. The BOE needs to be super transparent about the search and who they are considering.

They rushed McKnight in. Can't remember whom on the BOe was rushing to get McKnight in, but remember it felt rushed and fake even then.

Yes. Do not expect any sharing of candidates' names until they have decided on the person they want to hire. Unless the candidates themselves disclose it publicly.

+1..Leaking a name could cost someone their job. So that's not happening. July 1 coincides with the fiscal year. Dr. Felder may finish out the Dr. McKnight's term. That would make sense...

I seem to recall a candidate who was announced, prematurely, and things blew up, and he had to turn it down. But I’m blanking on who that was, I think it was fairly recent.
