| How many times did they showed Taylor Swift beside the first time? |
how many times did they showed her? I stopped watching it |
Was Anya Taylor Joy even there last night? |
I think you are referring to Ozark’s Julia Garner. |
Oh god, not you again. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1173880.page |
Was Anya Taylor-Joy at the GG? I didn’t see her. |
NP. Wow, I could not disagree with this more. His roles are varied and the emotional nuance he brings to each one of them is incredible. (Seawall versus Hot Priest versus Pride versus Hamlet versus Moriarty versus….) I can’t wait to see his one-man Vanya. And when you see him in interviews, etc., his personality is not like in his performances. I’m really surprised by your comment. He’s one of the most subtle and sensitive actors out there today. |
| Were Emma Stone's eyebrows normal for her or extra dark and thick as a nod to her character? I thought the latter; my DD the former. |
Pp was mistaken. That was Julia Garner. |
|
Curly top Julia Garner looked thirsty and immature in her ridiculously cut gown. The rectangle suspenders look was just dumb. A similarly deep V cut would have looked a million times better.
And Da’vine needed sheer/illusion fabric across her cleavage. It would have made the look classy rather than ill-fitted/trashy. |

What a bore of a show, honestly.
The only bit that actually got a chuckle out of me was the one where they pretended that studio execs wrote the dialogue instead of writers to prove that writers are important. The show writers need to learn that everyone is over the fast laugh type jokes. The jokes that used to land and hit years ago are now viewed as cheap shots and low brow. The Barbie tit joke? Honestly, so predictable. I bet the outline the writers made to form their jokes looked something like: -Barbie tit joke -Ryan Gosling crush joke -De Niro not shooting blanks joke -Taylor Swift Joke -Oppenheimer joke -Strike joke -WTF is this host guy joke -Saltburn joke -Crown joke -Streep joke |
Bc his intent wasn't to make the room laugh. His audience wasn't the celebrities in the room, it was the people on twitter. Same when Ricky hosted. It was the greatest hosting job ever bc he know who his audience was. |
| I actually enjoy Jo Koy’s comedy. His Netflix specials are great. This type of audience roast isn’t his style at all. Can we just move past this kind of opening monologue already? It’s had its day. |
NP here. Bully Eilish was amazing when she hosted SNL. I couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked in some of the skits. |
| Joe Koy throwing the joke writers under the bus and apologizing for the bad jokes… dude’s not going to get any more gigs after that. He’s supposed to be a performer, why’s he differentiating which jokes were his and which weren’t? Unprofessional! |
