Also adding “extremely loud and incredibly close.” I was around that child’s age on 9/11 and my father worked in the area. Luckily he was okay but it was a very traumatic event that I don’t know if I ever really processed. When I saw extremely loud and incredibly close in my twenties, I just lost it. |

Really really good film but made me scared to parent teenagers. As the common sense media review says "There are enough teenage problems in this movie to fill a decade's worth of after-school-specials. But the film's weaknesses are the weaknesses of youth and inexperience, and that is actually very appropriate for the subject matter." |
