Stop knocking on peoples' doors

Probably.

Imagine being all get off my lawn/porch, how dare someone approach me, and also being against the very basic principles of human rights and American freedoms, and thinking anyone irl would like you or you were a functioning member of society?

The anger and rage exhibited for another person/people by atheists here is scary. Someone dares approach THEIR PROPERTY?

Good community members they ain’t.

And you’d be fine if atheists did the same at your house?

Yeah, right.

You don’t even like it here, in an open forum, let alone your house.

But don’t worry. We’re not coming.

You aren’t coming because you know the vast majority of actual adults would tell you they believe in God. If they didn’t want to talk to you, they wouldn’t answer the door, or they’d answer and tell you they weren’t interested. (Probably just say no thanks through the microphone on their door camera.)

You couldn’t tantrum and make up lies and excuses and rage like children in person; that only works anonymously online.

Whether you agree or not, a person that has convictions and wants to genuinely share them out of love for their fellow man is admirable. They know many people won’t agree with them, or even want to talk to them. They still put their time and energy into trying to do something they think is good.

Atheists inhabit the internet. They’d never spend time walking around outside.

So enjoy whatever cubby the internet gives you; that’s fine. But if you think you are going to tantrum and it’s going to magically overturn multiple court cases that affirm the right to go door to door and speak about religion or politics, you are delulu.

Come to my house atheist. You and I can talk if I am not busy. If I am busy I won’t answer the door, and it’s that’s how it works.

Plus one. I probably won’t answer the door either, so I won’t even know if you’re a Jehovah’s Witness or an atheist.

If I do open my door, I’ll tell you politely I’m not interested, which will take me all of 30 seconds. And then I’ll go back to my day instead of throwing a hissy fit for two days online.

Bit at the same time, some of you are childish internet trolls, disrupting our conversations about religion with your off-topic tantrums. You won’t even acknowledge that your freedom to hate troll is the same freedom of speech you want to deny others.

So you don’t know if they are Christians because you didn’t speak with them or get a flyer or card or anything telling you what church they were representing?

OP here. When I finally opened the door to make them stop knocking she handed me a pamphlet with quotes from the Bible but I didn’t take it. That’s how I know.

You realize that still leaves like... almost every single major religion, right?

It also leaves atheism, to be fair. As we see all the time on DCUM, atheists live to quote the Old Testament out of context.

* love to quote…..

The only groups that do this are either Jehovah witnesses or Mormons. Both denominations require people to go door-to-door. I just wave them off.

So you'll be polite to me on your porch if I disagree with your belief, but here in an open forum, F-me, right? Lol, so funny.... you're so transparent. You don't even try to hide your hypocrisy.

Name one example of an atheist quoting the bible out of context here. Remember, you brought this up, this is your claim.

Fact is your book is full of horrific stuff endorsing slavery, incest, genocide, and loads more. It just is. It can't be debated and there is no "context" that whitewashes it.

I'll wait for your example.

“Here”’is not on this thread of course. You did lie boldly about different things on this thread, as others have pointed out 2-3 times.

^^^ Another of your lies. I’d never say F-you to a toddler having a tantrum and I didn’t do that here. Several of us simply pointed out, reasonably, that (a) the SC disagrees with you, (b) ignoring or putting up signs are easy alternatives, and (c) your tantrums convince nobody.

Still waiting for you to explain how freedom of speech only goes in one direction: to you when you’re hate trolling anonymously online.

I’ll wait for your explanation.

My concern: this is apparently the atheist who must.have.the.last.word on every thread. A dog with a bone. She can’t ever admit she’s in the wrong, even with the Supreme Court against her.

She’d never get off my porch.

Ahh, so you can make the claim but not defend it with evidence! Fully expected. Thanks for confirming.

Over 24 hours and you're still here. You called someone else "sad" for that. Still insisting people are athiests too, even though you don't know that. You're more than sad. You're unhinged.
