What are you even talking about? I'm the OP and that was only my second post. I don't care nor did I even know about her politics. I just wouldn't be moved to donate to a successful celebrity's campaign for medical bills. I'm not denigrating those who do. I wouldn’t donate either. There are much more worthy causes to contribute to. As a conservative MLR tried to deny actual poor people or people with pre-existing conditions access to health care. She had the means to purchase health insurance herself but it wasn’t a priority. I have healthcare through the exchange and I am thankful for it.

Her net worth is reported to be $2million. Why did she not have health insurance? My guess is she can afford it. Why ask the public to pay for what she chose not to buy? This doesn't smell right. As much as I respect her as an athlete and a sports reporter and motivational speaker, U'd want an answer as to why she can't pay her own bills. That being said, I hope she recovers quickly.
