It may be almost impossible for her to get affordable insurance if she has health issues related to intense gymnastics training. |
Then work at Starbucks. |
Wow, it's gross that she's pleading for cash - and she's almost got $200k in donations from suckers who probably have no idea she's living in a mansion. Typical greedy conservative. |
What health issues impact insurance rates under the ACA? |
Says a person who somehow knows nothing about ACA and its prohibitions on limitations based on preexisting conditions. |
For the liar who posted that the cheapest ACA policy is $1400/mo., and anybody who believed it:
Obamacare plans that are often considered HDHPs are Bronze and Silver plans. Our analysis of ACA marketplace data discovered that 40-year-olds pay $401 per month on average for a Bronze plan, $526 for a Silver plan and $578 for a Gold plan. https://www.forbes.com/advisor/health-insurance/how-much-is-obamacare/#:~:text=Bronze%20and%20Silver%20plans%20have,cost%20when%20you%20need%20care. |
Uh, no. I'm the prior poster with Obamacare. In my state, a single person earning $46,000 per year or more gets no discount on Obamacare insurance. I pay the quoted rate on the website with no discount. I get the cheapest bronze plan. In my state if you earn less than $46,000 per year then the Obamacare costs are discounted, i.e. you pay less. My insurance was much more affordable before Obamacare became the law and outlawed individual policies as I paid $250 per month from Blue Cross with a smaller deductible. |
NONE |
Well, if you have "any kind of income" you can afford it. Or, as the evidence shows, you can't afford not to. I mean, most people know we'd be better off with single-payer. I'd MUCH rather have government bureaucrats managing this stuff than claims adjusters trying to make bonus at for-profit insurance companies. Anyone who's ever dealt with insurance companies knows how badly managed they are and how they try to make inappropriate health care decisions for you that conflict with what your doctor has ordered. |
Not in my state for those earning over $46,000 per year. If you are earning under $46,000 per year yes you get discounted rates. |
But PP posted that her health issue may impact her rates. It must be true because it’s on the internet! 😱 |
What state? |
Well, you know, all those conservatives kept yelling about higher taxes to pay for single payer, ignoring the fact that premiums are a de facto tax. I would GLADLY pay more in taxes to not have to pay health insurance premiums and ridiculous deductibles. And don't get on me about delays for procedures -- that shit happens now with private insurance. |
It looks like her net worth is around $2 million dollars. |
And, if she NO income, she would likely qualify for Medicaid - even if living in a mansion.
My good friend did this. She lives in a nice $500k house (not in the DC area) and was on Medicaid for years because she didn't want to work. |
