Prince Harry and Meghan in Near Catastrophic Car Chase in NYC

First time on DCUM? Have you browsed the Entertainment forum long? People can build conversations out of anything and it's almost never productive. Why are you expecting more? Move along I guess.

There is so much joy in watching Meghan the Master Manipulator in action. Every time she does something the haters come out in droves and she thrives. She's grateful for free publicity you give her.

They should fire their security team for incompetence.

You are pretty sure they are lying and...
Pretty sure they paid paparazzi to do this.
Questioning the scene, the time, the actions.
Accusing them of attention getting.
Blaming one or the other for extending a narrative.

NYPD is likely to downplay anything that makes them look bad, so remember that.
Looks like most people already have a narrative about them that they need to fulfill, regardless of what went on. So stupud, this binary team thing people choose to engage in. Everyone keeps saying they are inconsequential, yet pop right up everywhere to keep saying it.

Right.

They are inconsequential, when you get down to it. Their purpose is no more than to provide amusement for us. For that is what they have become, modern day jesters.

The reason why some of us like to read about H&M is because it's like watching a soap opera. The range of emotions, behaviors, hypocrisies, ironies and cluelessness on display, all set against a backdrop of wealth and privilege, is a real life reality show. I do no more than reading a few headlines every now and then and posting a few comments on here and I do it because it's fun to roll my eyes as I watch people act out their vanities like a modern day Greek drama, although the hidden tragedy is that the acting is sincere, at least on Harry's part.

Doesn't look like that to me. It looks like they are doing their stuff, which includes making money now, and being interviewed by outlets ob their stuff, like any other high profile person. The fact you, and people like you, keep calling attention to it, is far more interesting. And proves his assertion. Why bother commenting. They aren't court jesters any more than Meryl Streep is. Actors are here to entertain us. Influencers are, singers are. They decided to take a path away from living a royal life, which is somehow frowned upon by people who think NOT riding in gold carriage, wearing medals and swords and crowns is actually MORE attention seeking (?) Come on. They are being recognized for their work, and if people want to read their books, listen to their podcast or whatever, it's no different than anyone doing it. You can't have it both ways. I just saw maybe 20 + clips, without even trying to see them, of Kate Middleton, wearing a hugely expensive and massive royal blue gown sitting next to a grand piano in a palace gold and velvet encrusted room playing only 3 bars of a piano selection in the Eurovision song contest, and she was hailed as "so talented, graceful, elegant."
Not attention seeking at all.

Lol . You've chosen a team to root for, that's all, and it's really stupid.

Harry got all the attention at the Coronation. Now it's Meghan's turn.

Just keep demonstrating Harry's assertions- you all love to hate on these folks for no apparent reason. They could be eating a hot dog in Hells Kitchen and they would be savaged for their choice in food, their clothes, even the pickles.

Here's what attention seeking looks like, folks:

This story does not pass the sniff sense. A 2-he car chase around NYC at 10pm on a Saturday night, what??

I agree. If they ever finish their "Worldwide Privacy Tour" and stop announcing their every step, then no one would bother them!

Lol. The tour without end.

He was interviewed for his book by outlets that asked. He may have had a press tour, but publishers do that. They did an interview with Oprah which waz watched by millions. How is that different than any other celebrity? Hasn't done literally anything outside of that other than outlets reporting pictures or whatever they didn't ask for. These people are followed less than Olivia Wilde. You are fueling it, actually, with your interest. You love it.

That Oprah interview was worth a million awards ceremonies or pap walks or press tours that other celebrities do.

The NY police chief even said it would be highly unlikely that a high speed chase went on for 2 hours in NYC.
All and I mean ALL the "news" is from their spokesperson. Not the media not the police.

They are trying to act like Megan is as popular as Diana. The two of them are nothing compared to her. Near catastrophic is a very interesting choice of words.

Right, she called Gloria Steinem months ago and asked to be honored. Sure.

The mayor was also skeptical.

Lots of attention seeking people here, actually. For people who do not like the Sussexes, you sure do follow and comment a lot about them. Low IQs , guys.

Who said it was a "high speed" chase?

Just let them take your pictures and the chase is over, simple. Just like you don't die when you get mugged if you just hand over your wallet.
