Wow. The tv show was really interesting but horrifically tragic. Colin hasn’t spoken to ir seen his siblings beside Hannah since 2016, so for 7 years. He was in a horrific car crash and his mother didn’t contact him nor did his siblings. You have to be a pretty evil mom to send your 12 year old away and never want to see or hear from them again. And to not have any of the siblings send letters or allow any phine calls. I don’t understand how the institution he was at allowed this. Jon said he spent a million dollars trying to find Collin then once he did fighting in court to get him out and get custody. If Kate didn’t want Collin why not allow Jon to have him. That is the reason Hannah moved out. Once she heard what happened she could no longer live with Kate.

Jon has no contact with 6 of his kids and has no idea of the reason they are so upset at him. It would be easier for him he says if they write or called him expressing their anger but the is just silence.

Jon’s dad was a white pediatric dentist so unless Kate used a sperm donor for her fertility treatment she is only 1/4 Korean.

If this were a young adult I cared about and was entrusted to give advice to, I would probably not advise such interviews...but also, I get it. It's THEIR childhood and story. They had cameras shoved in their faces for their most vulnerable and intimate moments as young children, not by their own choosing. If they want to talk about it and share the story as THEY experienced it and as they want to, more power to them.

Today was another 2 year old rough day! At nap (or even before the official start) they stripped again and got spankings, then after nap, a few more stripped and joel shredded a book as well as a paper shredder would! Then Alexis took the recycling off the counter and the final straw,… Collin pulled my press n seal off the counter and pulled ten feet or more off the almost new roll!!!!1 I was out of control so I made him goto his room until I could settle!UGH I hate this two year old naughtiness stuff!

Oh I wanted to mention my stress melt down today. After dealing with insurance companies all day due to being sideswiped by the old lady in the Shillington farmers market parking lot and having to file those reports, then having Heather stop by unannounced and it was the girls first day back to school after vacation, then Alexis and her ear pain and trying to make her an appt to see the doctor at a ret a r ted practice, I let the kids play for the first time in the water table that had beans in it instead…. Collin decided to pour the beans all over the floor while I was inside peeling potatoes, so the girls told me and I sent all the offenders inside. Well Collin didn’t like that I sent him in and when I was out in the garage, I heard three large bangs…I went inside and three highchairs were on the floor literally. I was instantly so SO angry, that I grabbed him and spanked him as hard as I could and thought I may seriously injure him so I sent him to his crib…. And whipped him into it very hard! I for the first time thought I may really lose it and am glad that I just let him in his crib til Jon came home! I have never felt that I may really seriously injure a child but today was that day!
I don’t know what it is about Collin! He is usually kind and caring and nice and tender but when his temper flairs…. Watch out! I don’t like that he doesn’t know how to handle his frustration and anger! I didn’t even get a chance to have him apologize to me because I had to drop everything and take Alexis to the doctor!

Collin continues to try my nerves! He is really extremely helpful and I can count on him to get the job done one minute and the next he is doing something to make me nuts—like calling me a ‘boy’ repeatedly when he knows that I am a girl. Little things like that just to annoy!!!!

Today they were actually naughtier than normal. Collin and Aaden continue to try my patience as usual. It is as if they set out to do exactly what I have just asked them not to immediately after I tell them not to! It is soooo frustrating and I can’t say that I am as patient as I should be…in fact, I am plain rough sometimes in response to their constant disobedience!!!

honestly this makes me feel for her / both parents. I'm a great mom (if I do say so myself) and have never hurt my kids but have definitely imagined smacking them across the face when I'm exhausted and cracking and its all so relentless. And I've only had 1 2yo at a time, I can't imagine 6. Of course I'm not saying its justified to hit a kid and ideally they'd have gotten help, but i do see how it would be so overwhelming it could push you too a blind rage at times. I don't think any adult could care for their own 6 2yos day in and day out without losing it sometimes

A great mom would seek therapy to find out why she fantasizes about smacking her young child's face and to learn how to better manage her anger. 2yo are going to be a challenge for any skill level parent, the truly good ones embrace the challenge and adjust their expectations for "obedience" on a day to day, hour to hour basis. Glad you haven't smacked your kid...pretty sure you can do even better and not want to smack your kid.

Mady has said on tiktok that she is not receiving parental help for college and has loans. I believe Alexis also said that she's paying for college. Pretty despicable that their parents blew all that money instead of helping their kids out.

Kate controlled all the money. This isn't Dad's fault. She blew the money or is keeping it for herself. If she doesn't have a relationship with Dad, not his responsibility.

If they did the child support calculations, Kate was making a fortune off the show so he probably wasn't required to pay much at all if anything. She kept all the earnings from the show. He was always working but I cannot imagine his income was enough to maintain her lifestyle which was probably the bigger issue.

He was barely working at the start of the show, which is why they did the show, for money. It was something then argued about on the show. He was unhelpful with the kids and not helping financially. Stop only blaming only the mom. It’s a tired, played out narrative.

She didn’t want him working a lot as they had so many kids. She wasn’t working either. We only see her side. The show got a gag order so he couldn’t talk.

NP. I guess technically she's 1/4 Korean, but to me, Jon looks more than 1/2 Korean and his kids look more like 1/4 Korean. I think it's just the way their genes are expressed. Jon's mother's genes must be super dominant.

Jodie was a crap babysitter. Look, if you want to point out all the reasons Kate's a bad mom, and I'm sure there are plenty, then find better examples. Should be easy, right?

I was saying one of the reasons for the falling out with Jodie was gumgate.
