+1 Reese is getting absolutely slaughtered everywhere except DCUM. Did she also not shake hands? Maybe some racists were spreading that rumor around. |
No she isn't. A ton of prominent athletes have come out in support of her. You can keep your Keith Olberman and Dave Portnoy
|
Fake news. Reese is getting love absolutely everywhere! |
no. we don't. |
read some ESPN or NCAA social media sites. |
I do. Why don't you cite your "ESPN and social media sites" links with these opinion that apparently are universal. You're the same person who said in "sports circle". It's going to be a nice weather day today. Get out of your basement. |
She's getting far more run than Aliyah Boston did last year after she beat the popular white star. When this is all over, she's going to have more NIL deals than she would have if she did nothing and let the entire story be about Clark |
Here you go "The taunt tolled for Caitlin Clark on Sunday. Over the course of March Madness, the Iowa guard set the record for the most points in an NCAA tournament, most assists in a women’s NCAA tournament, most 3s in an NCAA tournament, and most taunts in an NCAA tournament, hitting her unfortunate opponents with John Cena’s “You can’t see me” move. And after LSU defeated her Hawkeyes in the national title game, LSU’s All-American Angel Reese hit Clark with her own taunt: What made Caitlin Clark so fun to watch all season long is that everything she does requires an over-the-top level of confidence: You need to be really sure of yourself when you shoot from the logo, because nothing looks dumber than a bricked 40-footer. The same goes for her trash talk: It’s thrilling when she talks the talk and walks the walk because we know the risk if she can’t back it up. Reese and the Tigers flipped it on her. We watch sports for moments like this, when a player’s confidence pays off or backfires. Some people were upset by Reese’s gesture; these people either don’t understand what makes sports enjoyable or, more likely, are just trying to get your attention, but in either case, they should probably be ignored. LSU did what nobody else could and outshot the best shooter in the nation; Clark’s celebration is theirs now." https://www.theringer.com/march-madness/2023/4/4/23669127/winners-losers-ncaa-tournament-championship-uconn-san-diego-state-lsu-iowa-angel-reese-caitlin-clark |
Dave Portnoy far better reflects the views of sports fans across the country than DCUM ninnies. Y’all can defend Reese but you won’t actually pay money to watch her play in the future because she brings nothing new to the game. |
No they don’t. If you wanna link to an article about dumb male jocks I’d be interested. Let’s see… Tarkanian was hailed a hero and some of his players had criminal records. Men’s coaches have been paying player for year… crickets. But LSU’s coach “sacrificed character” taking someone with a 1.9 GPA. Okay girl, tell me you don’t follow sports without telling me… UMD has 24 year olds on their men’s sports teams! |
God help you if Dave Portnoy represents anything about you. |
The douchebag who called her a POS on twitter? I don' need this loser telling me how to think about ANYTHING. |
That's all you got? That's all of "sports media". Pathetic. Paul Finebaum (if you don't know who that is, then that tells me all I need to know about you as a basketball fan) said this on his podcast: ON ANGEL REESE'S 'YOU CAN'T SEE ME' GESTURE "No, I don't (have a problem with it). I think if Caitlin Clark hadn't done the same thing a couple days ago in another game, I think it was against Louisville, maybe you can say it was uncalled for, but I don't think you can. These are athletes at the top of their level and they're just having fun with it. And I really did not find it objectionable. I like what Angel Reese said and who she was and I'm behind her 100%." No he doesn't. A TON of athletes have come out in support of her saying trash talk is just part of the game and if you dish it out, you need to be able to take it. Even Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi said it on their live broadcast. A bunch of real sports fans are actually bewildered that the media is making such a huge deal out of this. Real ballers are used to trash talk. If they want to clap back at Angel beat her and shut her up next time. |

Old white women really are mad that LSU had the gall to win
"“Last night I attended the NCAA women’s basketball championship,” said Biden, while speaking at an event at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. “So I know we’ll have the champions come to the White House, we always do. So, we hope LSU will come but, you know, I’m going to tell Joe [Biden] I think Iowa should come, too, because they played such a good game.” https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/04/sport/angel-reese-jill-biden-white-house-invite-spt-intl/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/04/sport/angel-reese-jill-biden-white-house-invite-spt-intl/index.html |
