Women's NCAA championship game

She could have been a media darling too if she had taken the high road. And yes, I know Clark trash talks and that wasn't covered.

Angel has like tripled her social media following since last night lol. She has a lot of prominent people supporting her as well.

Aaliyah Boston takes the high road, and she's not exactly popping like that or a media darling.

She shouldn’t have to. Caitlin Clark is trash on the floor. But it’s excused, because she’s such a “fierce competitor”.

Angel Reese is not going to shuck and jive for y’all. People will always find a reason to find fault with her, and she knows it.

The same lovely “Angel” who gave the finger to some 14 year old Iowa fans? There is good reason to find fault with her and her trashy behavior.

Why did she give a crap about Clark’s “disrespecting” a player on another team? Weird. This chic is a real whiny snowflake.

You mean the thing that was reported by some random mom on twitter that was probably yelling all kinds of obscenities at Angel without any context?

I'm sure Angel walked past the little girl standing silently by her lonesome, saw an Iowa shirt and flipped her the bird.

Try harder, nobody even claimed she was "lovely".

That did not happen, we would have all seen the VIDEO if it did and people like you would have made sure of it. Stop making excuses for the classes idiot. And what's with the fake nightclub eyelashes during a basketball game. Talking about playing for the camera, she shows her "classiness" at every stage.

Because the same types of critiques and disrespect have been levied against all of the SEC girls and they all notice it. "Thugs" "ghetto" "bar fight" etc.

Like she said, she was making a point bigger than her. Players from a bunch of SEC schools have already spoken up on support of her, including South Carolina and Tennessee.

I said "probably" and in jest. All we've see in a still photo. Very convincing......

Here we go with the "classless" and the "eyelashes". YOU are what she is talking about lol.

I'm sure you were busy calling Monica Czinano a "thug" with her elbows and shoulders flying around everywhere as well .

The LSU players made this into a racial issue when there really was no such issue in order to draw media attention to themselves. You can’t tell me that in all of their years of playing basketball at a high level, no fellow black player has ever taunted, disrespected or talked trash to them. But a white player does it to a player on ANOTHER TEAM and they go ballistic and blow it up into a racial
issue. It probably blows their world view that a white player out there may be better at basketball than they are and that contributed to the saltiness. But between this and not being present for the national anthem, Reese flipping off teenage Iowa fans, and the team not shaking hands at the end, they comported themselves terribly, and I have no idea why anyone would defend them.

They should. This is two years in a row that the media has zeroed in on the cute white girl while ignoring the better team filled with black women. Even now Paige Bueckers makes more from NIL than the entire SC team that beat UConn combined.

Umm no its the double standard. Black women get the boot twice- one because they are women and two because they are black. Women= bossy. Men= leadership. Black= ghetto. White= passion.

Clark is the best woman college player by every metric. Sorry this blows the narrative. Would you have the media just ignore her accomplishments because she isn’t the right color? And BTW, the media has been celebrating black women basketball players for decades to the extent that they celebrate women athletes at all, so I don’t know what you are talking about.

Agree, and I was going to say similar. In what world does it make sense for the media to ignore promoting the best player in women’s basketball on one of the best teams?

Yup, I mentioned a litany upthread but the mediocre Cavinder twins are the worst example of this phenomenon.

This is like Serena vs. Sharapova all over again. Probably justified by the same crowd lamenting the death of "meritocracy" in this country.

It is becoming very clear why she didn't fit in at Maryland, I thought it was just the academics but now you see her true colors coming out. Brenda Freese doesn't play those games.
