I know you are, but what am I? Childish remarks by you do not change the economic reality that a larger tax base affords you all the freebies you want and the amenities you want in a community. Not np. |
This sounds just like city of Alexandria. |
This does not follow. |
You know I am what? I'm not threatening to take my ball and go home. Montgomery County isn't perfect, but there's a lot of good, and I'm happy living here and don't plan to move. |
How can it be so unaffordable for families inside the Beltway in Montgomery County when every elementary school, including those with high FARMS, are overcrowded. Please explain how this is possible. I would love to know. |
I am in Alexandria. The city wants to pack people in like sardines, our school system is horrible, crime is bad, traffic just gets worse and worse. The city manager and city council do not care one bit what we think. And the mayor (which has mainly a ceremonial job) is praying every day Beyer will retire so he can run for Congress. I wish people would leave Alexandria for Frederick or somewhere else. Between the residents and the tourists it's awful. |
Could you please list all of the MCPS elementary schools that are inside the Beltway and high FARMS and over capacity? Not and/or. And. Thanks. |
Florida is booming. Why? |
Neighborhoods cannot just create an HOA that has restrictive covenants that run with the land. Huh? People need to take real estate law classes. |
You clearly don’t have kids in your “family”. Go read the MCPS forum and do your own homework. Just love these childless urbanist children that have zero clue about the world. There are zero elementary schools inside the beltway that are under capacity and basically every ES east of Beach Dr is either a Focus school or Title I. |
How is it that all of these families that are currently sending their kids to ESs in Montgomery County have figured out how to afford it but this one person has not?
People are fleeing for Frederick for higher quality of life at a lower cost. In this context it means that Frederick is allowing developers to build houses that people want to raise families in at affordable prices and get access to highly rated schools. This is the direct result of Montgomery County effectively refusing to allow construction of SFH upcounty. It is not the result of Montgomery County not producing enough affordable housing downcounty, which again we know exist as borne out by school enrollment. |
Your "facts" are wrong. Here is the complete list of MCPS elementary schools that are inside the Beltway and high FARMS (over 41.8%, which is the district-wide percentage for ES) and over capacity: JoAnn Leleck ES, Oak View ES. That's it. 2 schools. There are a lot of elementary schools inside the Beltway that are under capacity, and there are also many elementary schools east of Beach Drive that are neither a Focus school or Title I. |
Undocumented migrants. Are you completely blind to what’s going on in county affairs? Moco is testing site for future National Democratic Party demographics - attempt to grow the party in southern states. |

First, can anyone show the data that MoCo people who are leaving are fleeing to Frederick? The data that the OP shared doesn't show that. Yes, the population of Frederick has increased, but it doesn't tell us where the new residents are coming from. Duh. One other thing... wouldn't it make sense that Frederick would see an increase in residents considering that they have been and continue to build many new communities with tons of new homes? I mean, I sure hope so. |
