FCPS Data shows that Tutor.com is a failture

This is spot on.

I pay for an online tutor (not tutor.com) and it did a good job. Algebra II

Instead, FCPS must level with parents where students are behind & provide direct academic intervention to those students most in need.

The current school board has failed FCPS students at every level, throughout the pandemic and its aftermath.

Anyone in FCPS who votes for democrats tomorrow is voting against their children’s best interests.

Please stop. This board isn't about advancing one political party over the other. The amount of political trolling on this board over the last two weeks has just been extreme. I cannot wait until Wednesday.

Not necessarily. If you have the money to handle FCPS’s varying levels of competence it might be good for you.

Especially if you’re kids are nearly done and plan to make money themselves from filling the gaps or replacing FCPS at some levels.

We used it once. I had to help my kid do it which kind of defeats the purpose of having a tutor.

Tutor.com is a for-profit enterprise that doesn't pay enough to have qualified tutors in the first place. That FCPS thought this internet scam of a company was the solution to their sad response to covid is just more evidence that the FCPS bureaucracy is incapable of making good decisions.

The board doesn't even make these day-to-day decisions. Central administration does. And almost every new member on the Board for years has complained about the way that long-time board members (of any party) cow-tow to central admin and don't really exert their authority.

Should have spent the money on textbooks (ones w/ answer keys) so my kid (me too) had a tangible way of learning.

Tutor.com pay minimum wage. Why would anyone work for them?
