We are. And to be fair, Elon has always been a Republican, and I and others did not care. He lied in that tweet when he said he was a Democrat voter. He has now just become full MAGA, and that is not working well for me as a shareholder. I am trying to find my exit plan before he incurs more damage to the stock

I think because he knows TSLA is f#cked in the long-term. Every car maker is launching multiple EV vehicles in the next 18 months. All those vehicles will qualify for federal tax credits, while TSLA has already run thru its allotment of tax credits. So Elon needs to pivot to a new untapped market (MAGA supporters) for new sales.

But I don't think it will work because red state MAGA's don't buy sedans or small crossovers. In sum, Tesla will go into secular decline as the big automakers pile into the market. I'm picking up some Ford stock because it's cheap right now and the Lightening F-150 is going to be a massive hit.

I don't know why he was ever a liberal to begin with. He clearly hates any type of business regulation, even those that protect workers and the environment. This is a man who got into this business purely to impress a woman. I'm not sure what was ever "liberal" about him.

Because Republicans and GOP have absolutely sh#t on EVs and anything perceived to be "green" for the longest time in their slavish devotion to the Big Oil companies that fund the Republican party.

Obama's EV federal vehicle credit in 2012 turbo-charged Tesla's growth. He owes the company's success to Democratic policies. Republicans were never going to give EVs those tax credits.
