I'm not going to comment on the impact on TSLA, because I don't really understand that aspect. But with respect to his personal brand, which he obviously does a lot to cultivate, it makes perfect sense. Trump demonstrated that divisiveness works as long as the people you appeal to absolutely love you. Musk basically has a personal cult. There are the extreme fanbois to whom he can do no wrong. Then there is another group, and I have friends in this category, that are so blinded by the things he's done that they like (e.g. reinvigorate the EV market) that they will justify every horrible thing that he says/does. |
Also, the advanced vehicle technology loan program helped Tesla buy the Nummi plant in Fremont. They literally would not have had a factory without the Democratic policies that Republicans sought to undermine and positioned as taxpayer waste. |

I never thought about his politics. He’s a dumb tech bro. I also have never gotten along with white South Africans. |
| Of course he pivots to Republican Party when it comes out he is a sexual predator lol |

I’m sure this had nothing to do with Musk moving his headquarters from California to Texas.
“California, where SpaceX is headquartered, no longer permits companies to require non-disclosure clauses in agreements like the one the attendant signed. Just months after her settlement in 2018, then-Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law the "Stand Against Non-Disclosure Act," which bars the use of NDAs going forward in settlements involving sexual harassment, discrimination, or assault unless they are requested by the plaintiff.” |
It had more to do with the record-setting taxes he owed on maturing stock options. He owed billions in federal taxes. California would’ve taken something like 13% vs Texas at 0%. He saved himself hundreds of millions of dollars with that move. He sold something like 5 houses in California to claim bona fide TX residency. It was a tax play. |

Elon is contributing more to society than just about anyone in the last 50+ years.
Lol to the wacktivists bent on taking him down. |
+1. He's easily the most consequential inventor of our lifetime. |
