We were told they could get the second shot in three weeks at any clinic. |
This was the case for +12 year olds, fwiw. |
| We booked our under-12 kids for a second dose at a Walgreen's in Bethesda after taking them to a different pharmacy in D.C. for first dose. You can get it wherever you can find an appointment/wherever is convenient for you. |
| How did the clinic at Janney go today? |
DOH is tweeting the status of the clinics. At 6:40 there were plenty of shots left at the three school clinics open today and no line. “6:40 UPDATE: 216 slots available at Whittier ES 153 slots available at Janney ES 229 slots available at Thomas ES All pediatric clinics have NO LINE!” |
| The second shot clinics the weekend after thanksgiving are going to be a mess. You heard it here first. |
I think a lot of people will be waiting longer than 3 weeks. I know we are going to wait 8 weeks. |
Safeway offered clinics to schools, and those schools signed up for the clinics. This is how the private schools did it. Theoretically, the public schools could have signed up with Safeway, too. But they didn't because DCPS is a mess. |
I’m so tired of the constant gloom and doom about the 5-11 shots. The roll out was fine. The second shot clinics will be fine. The usual suspects on Twitter declaring this an abject failure aren’t helping anything, and neither are you. |
Look, it’s just a fact. There are a ton of kids due for their second shot, no clinics on Thursday or Friday and people are not going to want to pull their kids out of school. It’ll be a mess. People will be turned away. |
Well that’s crazy. |

it’s what canada is doing. |
you realize you have a big window to get the 2nd shot? You don’t have to pile into the one popup on the first day? |
Yeah, not crazy at all. The PP is poorly informed. |
