I was all of you 2 years ago. Curious about other clubs and the scores of their games. Know what I learned with my soccer loving DD? It was fun for her and all of us but once college hits it all barely matter. btw, she is playing in college. It is not what you think it will be.

Kudos to the folks posting the 03 & 05 results. I for one and cheering for MU to have a good season in all age groups. We know a lot of parents and players over there.

Oh yeah?

Who does your kid play for?

Local area team. Go MU!

Have they scrimmaged anyone this preseason?
If so, what were the results?
What was their record last year?
Have they picked up any new players?

Local parents interested in the results

Thanks in advance

Yes. Local area team. Won 12-2.
Last year record was 27-4-4
Yes, 3

Hope this helps.

It only helps if we know the team.

35-0 shirts. 21-7 skins. Move on, freak.

DP--you're right, it's no big deal. So share the club you are with? Not freaky, just general knowledge. You know the club and multiple scores in this thread. What's the big deal about sharing which club went 27-4-4 last year and won 12-2 last week.

Right???

I was going to say they were Pipeline but I saw 4 losses. Pipeline doesn’t lose.

You mentioned that you know many players at MU before.

I get you, you don't want them to know it's you trolling them. Got it. Gotta love DMV youth soccer.

We'll have to wait for the regular season. MU is still working on things. I believe some players are playing up in some cases so not all teams are playing with who they'll be playing with during the season.

4 losses and 1 win yesterday. 4 losses and a tie last week better figure it out.

I think some 05 MU players were playing up too.

VDA is in for a rough season. Doesn't matter, CESA will still take the cake. They are the closest thing to a DA team in the region and the results show it.

What do you think we think it will be? Here's what I know from two girls that play(ed) in college recently. Both at a high level (D1 and some national team and/or pro-reserve team experience).

1) It doesn't help you academically.
2) It doesn't help you land a job (outside of soccer).
3) It consumes A LOT of time between practices, travel, and games.
4) It's physically demanding.
5) Its fun and fulfills the need to compete at a high level.
6) Its something many others don't get to do, so in that sense it is a once in a lifetime experience.
7) Its something many others don't get to do, so you can feel proud and maybe boast a little bit.
8) You'll make some new, sometimes lifelong friends. You'll also meet some teammates that you just don't get along with.
9) It may or may not help pay for some of your college expenses, but not all of them.

That about sum it up?

re: 2) I've known a couple that were selected for jobs out of hundreds. D1 athletes. I don't know if them playing D1 ball was the reason, but I'm sure it didn't hurt. Similar to getting into college. Doesn't hurt to have a lot on your plate at high levels and be good at them.
