"These Colors Don't Run (Except for When They Do)" #PunisherLogos #FlagsOnSUVs MAGA! |
Not defending the police here, but the cop just glanced at it, probably checking the time. |
Please provide evidence the officer in question was checking scores. I’ll be waiting. So many Chairborne rangers here with zero police training; who want to abolish all guns and have never handed a weapon or been in a combat situation who want to just blame the cops and stomp their feet and offer no viable position of how they would have done different. So easy yet cowardly to be an armchair after the fact quarterback. |
No. There are a lot of parents on here who can imagine with incredible horrible clarity what it would be like to run to their kid's school that was having a shooting and seeing police officers milling about not doing anything and tasing parents desperately running in. Cops don't have to save lives, but when you volunteer to be the protector and you run when there is danger, and danger directed at a child, then you deserve our scorn and derision. I would jump in front of a bullet to save a kid, not even my own. And I'm just a middle aged lady with no combat or police training. |
Wtf do you know? When were you in combat? You got your CIB with a star?

Spot on. We also don't need to exaggerate the horror of their response, since the actual facts are damning enough. If you watch the video, the cop doesn't click past his Home Screen. He wasn't checking sport scores. He may have been checking the time or maybe texts, either of which would be a legit use of his phone in that moment. |
So much to unpack here. Of all the things that you could have taken issue with regarding the Uvalde incident, the bolded is what annoyed you? Nobody wants to "abolish all guns" jackass. But keep on parroting NRA/Fox talk points like a good foot soldier for our homegrown fascist movement. "Blame the cops"?! If there was ever an example of LEO cowardice coupled with incompetence, this surely is the one. Do you know of any job in the world where the person doing the job is never to blame for anything and can't be fired, let alone questioned or criticized if they fail to perform their duties? "Offer no viable position of how they would have done different"? I can assure you that most parents in the same situation would have rushed in to save their kids--if the LEOs had let them. JFC, wouldn't you?! Doing anything would have been better than what the cops did--which was nothing for over 70 minutes. |
While listening to the screams of terrified young children. It is beyond disgusting that any decent human being could have heard that and just stood there. At least one of the teachers wasn’t killed instantly. There are reports she was on the phone with her husband, telling him she was dying. Then there’s the little girl who called 911 for help multiple times. Plus another little girl who heard cops outside and called for help. That’s at least three lives right there that may have been saved had the cops responded AS THEY HAD LITERALLY JUST BEEN TRAINED TO DO A FEW WEEKS PRIOR, and confronted the shooter upon arrival. |
| RWNJ cultists still excusing the brown shirts? Huh. |
Investigators have confirmed that there is security video showing that the door was closed after the teacher returned to the building. |

Look. These are small-town cops who likely never in their wildest imaginations thought they’d be dealing with a school shooter.
Most of the crime in Uvalde is larceny and property crimes. Violent crime rate is below the national average and is mostly assaults. They weren’t really prepared to be cops who would lay their lives on the line. So they didn’t. When the far-reached theory suddenly became their reality, they all froze. Every one of them. Bc the theory of dying to save others may be ok, but the reality—not so much. |
But yet they had and funded a SWAT team?!!!?? |
And more than 40% of the town’s budget went to the police? |
