The gas station near my house in Bethesda went over $5 a gallon.

This is due to Putin's poor choices. Not the fault of the US or any other country.

Worse, millions in Africa and Southeast Asia are at risk of starvation from Russia's wheat export blockades and Ukraine's inability to sow next year's crop.

Explain the increase in prices from January 2021 to February 2022.

(Hint: It wasn't because of Putin. It had everything to do with Biden's policies that he repeatedly advanced during his campaign. He is determined to "rid the world" of fossil fuels even though the world is nowhere ready.)

Because worldwide demand for oil increased as COVID receded and vaccines enabled economies to begin recovering in earnest. This isn't complicated.

Ok so you admit it's not Putin, but I don't think you can blame reopening either. The price of a barrel of oil before covid was in the 50s or 60s.

Sleepy Joe,
He's killing ya Eh-mare-ih-can dreams.
Those precious Eh-mare-ih-can dreams.
He's killing them.

And gas, they say it's now 18 dollars per gallon.
18 dollars per gallon. Can ya believe it?

It's a disgrace,
A complete disgrace.

Maybe not complicated but very scary times.

It’s price gouging. Too bad the GOP wants it to continue.

Energy independence is a meaningless buzzword and doesn't mean that we get to set our own prices. I'm sorry to hear you've fallen for it. The price of oil is determined globally. Exxon isn't going to sell oil in the United States at a discount out of the goodness of their hearts. They'll export until the global price and the price in the United States equalize. The end result is that prices here harmonize with those of rest of the world.

I guess because some random nobody on DCUM Said it it’s true

Fact remains. We were energy independent and fuel prices were low. What liberals fail to realize is the following:
Oil and s based on speculation. As noted above wheb the Biden administration shot down the pipeline and therefore cut leases prices went up because oil companies held in to reserves as they knew new production wasn’t going to take place.

You refusal to see the facts shows your cognitive dissonance.

You do realize that we are still a net energy exporter? Also as a net energy exporter higher energy prices do not hurt the US economy on a macro level. Some Americans are making bank on these high prices. Maybe you should hedge your energy consumption if you are personally having difficulty.

My friend in British Columbia said gas is 2.35/liter today. If I’m doing my calculations right with liters to gallons and Canadian to USD that’s about $7 a gallon right?

10 dollars a gallon

Looks like gas prices are tripling.

I know people suffering through this as they have travel businesses. They’re equine vets and need to travel to the farms and stables and have bigger trucks. They’re contemplating charging fuel fees or denying calls for anything less than life of the animal. So Biden’s policies will be killing their businesses and horses

Biden is a visionary taking us to a better green future.

So what if MAGA’s feel a little pain at the pump. Leaves less pocket cash for smokes.

Biden and the Democrats have made it clear the suffering of every day Americans means nothing to them. Inflation is through the roof not with just fuel but everything. And it Makes things worse as fuel costs drive up shipping and create more inflation and shortages.

It’s time for a change in Washington and we need Trump back

We need someone who going to unite the country not Trump. Biden showed some promise in doing that but his people are out of touch. They deserved the wrist slap Biden gave them recently. Probably left which DCUM will claim is conservative, but that’s because they too are out of touch. Right now our enemies have us right where they want us — divided and pitted against each other. There is little to no acceptance of agree to disagree anymore and that’s has weakened us. Very sad.

Last Friday, Biden's EPA Mandated the Most Ethanol Use Ever.

The EPA, after gathering comments since releasing it proposed blending requirements in December, said Friday it will require refiners to blend 20.77 billion gallons of ethanol, biodiesel and other renewable fuel this year.

Additionally, the oil industry must blend 250 million more gallons of renewable fuel, both this year and next, after a federal court found the Obama administration inappropriately reduced the 2016 blending requirements.

The agency also denied roughly 70 exemptions for small refineries, many of which had been granted under former President Donald Trump.
