I have been a very consistent 5'6" 140 pounds my entire adult life - through 3 pregnancies even - snapped back easily. I'm 48 and I have gained 10 pounds in the last 18 months. I don't want this weight!
I did calorie counting for a month and I naturally am only eating 1400-1600 calories a day. My macros were great - carbs and protein perfect, fiber great, and fats just a little high because I do eat yogurt and some dairy. I don't drink alcohol or soda, I eat very minimal processed food, I exercise in a combo of strength training, fast walking, and yoga. What do I do? I don't know what other changes I can make and I've never in my life dieted, so I don't know where to start. |

Welcome to mid life.
Eat less, workout more. Goodbye full fat dairy. I’m 5’ 11” and my target weight loss calories is 1100-1500. I’ve lost 15 pounds since mid January. I’m a 54 yo woman. |
| Run your TDEE and you should be able to see what you need to eat (or not eat) to lose weight. I’d hunch your TDEE is around 2000 so 1600 probably isn’t enough of a deficit for you to lose weight relatively quickly but again google the calculators for this and put in your stats. |
