Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
My kids are home. We saw this coming. Not a surprise at all. |
It’s great that you were able to find some words to capture your hysterics, then. |
Wow, Nostradamus. What else you got for us? |
How nice for you! That means you don't have to send your kids into unsafe situations, which means you can stop posting about it. |
A better question is whether "vaccinated" needs to be redefined. That one shot your MAGA uncle reluctantly got way back in February may no longer be enough to count him among the vaccinated. |
Or, we need to take a serious look at how effective these vaccines are? We shouldn't need 3-4 shots in one year. Fully vaccinated is two shots. And, I don't have any uncles (well, technically one but I have seen him in 40 years). And, he makes MAGA people look good. |
I know. I always have a thesaurus sitting by my side. |
Well, yes, because that's how we've defined it so far. But it's probably time to redefine it. |
I think we're already taking a serious look at how effective vaccines really are. And so far, the verdict seems to be that the current vaccines, while still very good, are less effective against Omicron than against previous variants. |
If they are very good and effective, why are we having large numbers of outbreaks in vaccinated people. They are good at reducing symptoms but not spread. |
We got get your head out of the sand and see what has already happened in other parts of the world. It's really not hard. Get off this site and take a look. It's what the smart people do. |
You answered your own question. That's why they're good and effective. |
So no more predictions then? |
| MCPS was wrong to make substantial statements like never shutting down schools. There are no black and white decisions when it comes to a pandemic. This isn’t saying they should move to virtual or not. They’ve now backed themselves into a corner by trying to pass the buck off to Hogan. |
MCPS did not say that. Here is what MCPS said: "MCPS will only close schools and shift to virtual instruction if required to do so by local and/or state government officials." That's a completely appropriate thing for them to say, and good for them for saying it. |
