They are going to grab us at the balls and twist. They are won’t send their surplus of test kits to anyone but Iran. They can’t wait to get cranking on 5g, cyber, life sciences etc while Europe and USA flounder around shutting down every piece of their economies. And and blaming trump.

Too little, too late.

Why were they one of the few developed countries accepting flights or people originating from China last month?

What was that.

Israel is smart: if you come here you have to self quarantine for 14 days. Enjoy your trip.

JFC. One good thing, this whole situation has shown us where our weaknesses are and what we need to be prepared for if something much, much worse happens.

One would think we would be able to make our own antibiotics for national security reasons. Pretty dumb we allow all these companies to send manufacturing of this stuff overseas. Antibiotics isn’t like sending a furniture factory to China.

One big weakness is our diplomacy. If you are always a jerk to everyone it will come back to bite you.

Sad that we’ll forget about this convo once the situation blows over

The diplomats are fine. It's executive branch you have to worry about (and not just this WH).

Will doctors be allowed to use them?

You have to get through the phone idiots first:

Raheem Kassam @RaheemKassam
40 minutes on hold with D.C. Department of Health.

Woman answers.

Me: "I'm trying to get a coronavirus test..."

Her: "Please hold".

She forwarded my call to the generic 311 city services number.

Raheem Kassam @RaheemKassam 10h
FYI I have now made 15-20 calls to local CDC, DoH, national CDC, and Dr's offices/urgent care/hospitals.

No one can tell me where/how I get tested, and I'm just stuck in a circle.

My case is more tricky apparently as I do not have a doctor in D.C.

Raheem Kassam @RaheemKassam
Actually if you think you have coronavirus...

1. Try and figure out HOW.
2. Sit on hold with DOH trying to get a test.

From CNN's Lauren Fox

Rep. Louis Gohmert, a Republican from Texas, was called by officials yesterday and was told he had been in proximity of the individual at the Conservative Political Action Conference who tested positive for coronavirus, according to the congressman's aide.

According to the aide, the doctor told him that if he was Gohmert, he’d go back to Washington and observe good hygiene.

Gohmert is choosing not to self-quarantine.

This is a list of all who were in the green room with the positive person around the same time Raheem was.

- Rep Louie Gohmert;
- Ronna McDaniel
- Michael Knowles
- Kay James
- KellyAnne Conway
- Rep Matt Gaetz
- Diamond/Silk

That person was also at the Sabbath dinner.

She probably connected in California for her flight to Australia. May have picked it up there too, or on the plane.

Again... s l o w l y ......how come so many her contacts in Aspen got sick?

Those Aspen test results come in tomorrow, and the hospital is expecting to report that there has been an outbreak.

-Horse’s mouth

Following up, 53 people were at a party with the (tested positive) Australian woman, and the 13 who are likely positive are just from “her group” of 18. That number doesn’t include others at that party or anyone else that she may have come in contact with. The party was 9 days ago.

But I'm sure she got it in Aspen Not on the plane or airports

NO ONE. No one on the planet has treated people worse than the Chinese over the last 10 years. Travel. Ask. You will see. All their money buys nothing but resentment.

According to Twitter accounts he, the rest of the ministers, and the president held an emergency meeting for two hours yesterday in a small room.

Reports out of the meeting are that France will choose to surrender shortly...

I put France on my watch list when Macron and his wife went to the theater over the weekend in a bid to encourage the French to go out despite the virus.

Yup

Can someone explain how China handled this “well” when they deliberately allowed thousands to attend the Wuhan banquet when they knew they had a problem. Those people thereafter dispersed allowing this to get much worse. That’s is insane.

Apparently community exposure isn't a "thing" yet, and no matter your symptoms, unless you have travelled to a hotspot w/in 14 days of onset or have had direct contact with an infected person, you aren't eligible for testing. At least not in DC or MD.

I'm immunosuppressed and have had a fever and dry cough and chest pains for 6 days. I'm self-quarantined until I get over this. My doc says there's not much for me to do unless i can no longer breath on my own. I don't disagree, but suppose I do have COVID19 - my kids go to local schools, my elderly parents live close by (I'm not seeing them these days). From both a personal health and public health standpoint I should be tested. Anyone who is symptomatic should be tested IMO.
