Meanwhile the 21 states that refused to send their SNAP data to the USDA are:
California Colorado Connecticut Delaware Hawaii Illinois Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Nevada New Jersey New Mexico New York Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island Vermont Virginia Washington And, of course, Washington, D.C. is in the mix too. All democrat controlled. All with welfare benefits being sent to illegals |
| We also need to stop incentivizing people to have additional children they can’t afford. Every human interest story I read that is designed to tug at my heart strings just exasperates me more. All these unemployed/underemployed parents with too many mouths to feed! “How on earth am I supposed to feed my 9 children on my PT McDonalds salary??” The fact that these people agree to be interviewed proves they accept zero responsibility for their current plight. |
France would like a word. |
Virginia has a Republican Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General. |
According to recent data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for Fiscal Year 2023, approximately less than 11% of SNAP recipients were foreign-born. The specific breakdown of foreign-born recipients is as follows: 6.2% were naturalized citizens. 1.1% were refugees. 3.3% were other noncitizens, including lawful permanent residents and other eligible noncitizens. Conversely, nearly 90% of all SNAP recipients are U.S.-born citizens. |

Call your senators. Tell them to nuke the filibuster and then make the laws even stricter. No more soda or candy or junk. No more waivers. Stricter work requirements for people with kids. It can be done with 51 votes. |
Moderate here. I’d actually support that, but the problem is that any senator that would support it also supports Trump, guns and national wide abortion bans. So instead I have to accept food stamp waste that I disagree with. Same with how I feel about illegal immigration. It would be great if the GOP could put forward some sensible moderates that don’t cow tow to Trump and the crazies. |
Thank you, Maryland voters, Governor Moore, AG Brown, and Senators Alsobrooks and Van Hollen. KEEP FIGHTING! |
Republicans already tightened work requirements this summer. They got rid of the exception for homeless veterans, former foster youth and veterans. People ages 18 to 64 have to work (previously 18 to 54) Families with kids 14 and older have to work. (Previously had to work if kids were 18 or older) No more coverage for refugees or other legally present immigrants. Rs did that with 51 votes in senate. Funny how they didn’t touch what snap recipients could buy. |
SNAP is not an incentive. Try living off of it for a month. I dare you. You talk like someone who hasn’t had a day of struggle in her life. When mommy and daddy die, and you don’t get a penny because it’s been seized by the state, you’ll see. This is all so predictable. We have very reasonable programs to provide the bare minimum to people who cannot do better for themselves. Take that away and watch what happens. |
Should read homeless, veterans and recent foster youth. No more moochers! |
Voices in your head? |
Zero proof of the bolded. Meanwhile DOGE has scraped the financial information for every American. The blue states are trying to protect private data. Pretty simple. |
Oooh, I have some ideas... Provide sex education in schools Provide contraceptives Make abortion save and legal. |
DOGE uploaded everyone's SSN info to an unsecure cloud and MAGAs don't even care. Their hypocrisy is astounding. |
