Nope. Trump himself said it would be funded “in part” by donors. The rest will be taxpayers, just like the airplane he plans to keep for himself. Trump has also said that he now expects the cost of the ballroom will be about $300 million.

The optics are terrible though and Trump may be immune, but the GOP is not.

Most red states are federal minimum wage which is 7.25 an hour. A month’s pay comes out to 1,160 dollars before taxes. And that is at 40 hours a week which most jobs won’t give you because they don’t want to give benefits. A loss of SNAP benefits is catastrophic for these people.
