Sure I’ll take the bait. NVA/LS

lol. top club for GA yes, mid to lower club in ECNL.

try again

here are a few facts for you.

2012 NVA girls leading ECNL and 2012 LS leading ECRL.

2012 is clearly top

a “top” club gets seeded in the top bracket at tournaments like Jeff Cup. Which DMV team has the most 2012 and younger girls teams in the top bracket?

So maybe we can agree that 2012 NVA/LS and younger are “top”

Syc 2012 GA are also ballers. One top team does not a top club make.

The shift will be visible if (when?) the ECNL big dawgs start moving over. Until then, it's just wishful thinking.

Who are the big dawgs and what do they have to do with the DMV? Salivating over the Cali, TX, and pockets of clubs in the midwest do what for you exactly? Colleges recruit regionally unless you're in the top 50-100 of players, so what do you care about which league is the best overall if it doesn't apply to the area you live in? Hop off...

If all you follow is VDA then that's all you'll see of course. Other clubs place their kids as well. As every club has their pros and cons, they have a track record of recruiting the better players around the area vs actually developing them (look at their younger age groups before turning over nearly 40% of the roster by U15). In contrast, NVA/Loudoun has a history of developing players young but they end up leaving the club for whatever reason. McLean also has a good track record of developing them young. You're right, it's definitely ok to admit that the DMV doesn't put forth a super team to compete nationally (because parents are never satisfied with something), but we do have the collective talent to do so.

Seems that MLS-Next will require GA for girls side, not sure how many clubs have ECNL girls and MLS-Next for boys but those would be the low hanging fruit. Definitely a win for the GA but ECNL will be the top dawg for a few more years. But if a girl wants to play college soccer I have seen success with both platforms
