Borrowing the format from the 2025 post, here are the USAV bids earned by CHRVA girls' teams in 2026.

(Corrections welcome! Try not to quote this entire post. Hopefully, I can just make edits to this first post. Thanks!)

Official USAV Qualified Teams Results/Spreadsheets (Updated weekly ... usually on/around Thursday, so newer info reflected below may not be on the spreadsheet)

CHRVA has already been awarded an additional 13 National division bid via reallocation. ... I think CHRVA is third in line to get another National division bid for 14s through 18s via reallocation. Another 18 American division bid may also be reallocated to CHRVA (initially 6th in line).

16 Open: Metro 16 Travel (Gold bracket at Sunshine Classic - 16 Open)
16 National: Paramount 16 Maureen (1st - Bid Regionals)

15 USA: Paramount 15 Nick (2nd - Bid Regionals, returned to region)
15 Liberty: VAJRS (Gold bracket earned at NEQ - 15 Liberty, was 5th - Bid Regionals)
15 American: Metro 15 National (3rd - Bid Regionals), MDJRS 15 Elite Black (4th - Bid Regionals)
15 Freedom: BAVA 15 Blaze (6th - Bid Regionals), Libero 15 Huskies (7th - Bid Regionals)

14 National, 14 American, and 14 Freedom bids earned at CHRVA Bid Regionals on 21 March

14 Open: Metro 14 Travel (2nd in Gold bracket at Mideast Qualifier - 14 Open)
14 National: Blue Ridge 14 (1st - Bid Regionals, previously Gold bracket at Sunshine Classic - 14 USA)
14 USA: MVSA 14 Force (2nd - Bid Regionals, returned to region ... pending upgrade to reallocated 14 National)
14 American: BAVA 14 Waves (3rd - Bid Regionals), American 14 Red (4th - Bid Regionals)
14 Freedom: Paramount 14 Jaz (5th - Bid Regionals), Premier EDGE 14 (6th - Bid Regionals), MDJRS 14 Elite Black (pending after reallocation, 7th - Bid Regionals)

12s (3 bids)

12 National and 12 American bids earned at CHRVA Bid Regionals on 21 March

12 National: MDJRS 12 (1st - Bid Regionals, previously Gold bracket at NIKE Boston Qualifier - 12 USA)
12 USA: Metro 12 Travel (2nd - Bid Regionals, bid returned to region)
12 American: Paramount 12 Jaz (3rd - Bid Regionals)

11s (1 bid)

11 American bid earned at CHRVA Bid Regionals on 21 March

11 American: Metro 11 Travel (1st - Bid Regionals)

...

BTW, I am taking a guess, but it looks like there are only Open and USA divisions on the boys' side for USAV championships. It looks like each region is allocated one USA division bid per age group (14 through 18). The boys' CHRVA Bid Regionals results are on AES. MDJRS won the 18s, 17s, and 16s/15s (combined) age groups whike Annapolis won the 14s/13s (combined) group. The Premier Nova (17s) team out of Delaware may have also earned a USA division bid at BANE.

Pretty good weekend for CHRVA teams at Sunshine. Getting bids there is really hard - it's a big tournament with high quality teams and no one has bids yet, so there is no trickle down.

Metro 15 Travel coming in first is an incredible result - they won gold bracket matches against Legacy and Arizona Storm who finished 2nd and 3rd at Triple Crown.

Metro 16s, and Blue Ridge 14s and 15s were the beneficiaries of a new thing USAV is doing this season which is adding a 4th "provisional" bid to divisions/age groups at qualifiers with really large numbers of teams. What that meant is these teams didn't have to play the extra match for 3rd place to see who got the last bid. They very well might have won anyway, but giving both teams a bid means that neither team who had a really good weekend would go home empty handed. Personally, I like the idea of giving certain bigger qualifiers an extra bid - seems less subjective than the at-large process in which some mysterious committee gives out bids to teams who didn't earn one at a qualifier at the end of the season.

This year, USAV moved the non-bid Patriot division to a separate event (USA Volleyball Girls Junior Club Championship (GJCC)), which opened up more courts and allowed them to add more teams to the bid divisions. I believe that’s why they increased the number of bids at qualifiers. I agree—it’s better not to let the fourth-place team go home empty-handed.

Metro 15 Travel added three excellent front-row players from MD Jrs. Their starting lineup combines top players from last year’s 13th-place 14 Open Metro 14 Travel team (outside, setter, DS, and libero) and the 18th-place MD Jrs Elite Black team (outside, middle, and right side). They haven't lost a game this season. Congratulations to them!

Did the BRVA teams accept the bids they earned (in case the spreadsheets aren't updated on time this week)?

More importantly, if BRVA did not accept their qualifier bids, why should the CHRVA region allow them in the regional bid tournament? They clearly have no interest attending USAV Nationals.

Nothing against BRVA. Just feel bad for the team(s) they will beat in the regional bid tourny.

I don't think BRVA teams played in regional bid tournaments last year.

Their Blue teams are still in the regional bid tourny as "Pending" as of today. So...

It's a good question. They have turned down bids at qualifiers in prior seasons. The past few years they've flip flopped on going or not going to CHRVA bid regionals. They didn't send any teams last year but it looks like their teams from 14-17 are registered for this year. I agree if they turn down a bid from a qualifier then they shouldn't be able to compete at bid regionals.

I totally disagree. BRVA is one of the 3 top teams in the CHRVA and should be able to compete. What they choose afterwards is their pregorative. The CHRVA Girls Bid Regional Championships are based on the top teams.

This is completely incorrect. The two CHRVA Championship tournaments are “bid” regional championships and the other tournament is called “non-bid”. The fundamental entrance criteria for the tournmanets is you are competing for a bid or you are not. Teams that don’t intend to attend USAV nationals if they win a bid go to non-bids, regardless of their level of play.

Pretty sure if you attend the bid championships you are committing to accept a bid if you win one or face potential CHRVA penalties for both the club and the coach.

I agree BRVA is a top CHRVA club, but that has nothing to do with the rules around bid regionals. It's laid out pretty clearly in CHRVA's "2026 Regional Requirements for Participation in Regionals [ GIRLS BID ]" posted at: https://cdn2.sportngin.com/attachments/document/1d1a-2794789/2026_CHRVA_Junior_Girls_Bid_Tournament_57_.pdf

"Any team may apply to compete in the Bid Regional Championships, but by doing so, is committing to competing in the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships at either the National, Freedom, or American division, should they win a Region bid. The total number of bids to be awarded for each age group is not determined until May. Bid Tournament play will be conducted to determine first through eighth place for 13’s – 18’s and first through fourth place for 11’s-12’s. For all age groups, if additional bids are secured after the Region’s Bid tournament, the Bid bracket finish will be used to determine which teams receive the additional bids. If there are ties in the Final Standings, the Total Point % will be used to break the tie. Should a team earn a bid to the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships at the CHRVA Regional Championships and then fail to compete at the National Championships, they forfeit their tournament fee and are subject to sanctioning."

Good luck to all the CHRVA clubs competing in the Mideast Qualifier in St. Louis, MO next weekend.

I didn't check every age group, but I think CHRVA is third in line to get another National division bid for 14s through 18s via reallocation. Another 18 American division bid may also be reallocated to CHRVA (6th in line).

I just looked at the CHRVA 18s Bid Regionals results and noticed MDJRS 18 Elite did not participate. Did they not meet the eligibility requirements, were they not accepted, or did they decline the spot?

Also, I’m surprised Paramount 18s finished tied for 5th (they lost to VA Juniors in the playoffs). They usually play in the Open division at qualifiers, so I expected a stronger showing at Regionals.

MDJRs 18 Elite does not appear to have even registered for 18 Bid Regionals. Looks like they would have been on the bubble to get in - they are currently ranked 12th in AES within CHRVA and 12 teams got into 18 bid regionals.

Metro filled some of the gaps on 18 Travel created by 8 players not returning from last year's 17 Travel (6 went to college early, 1 stayed at 17 Travel, and one is not playing club this season) with 5 players who moved over from Paramount and some from other clubs. I think that exodus of players, most of whom were starters at Paramount, really hurt this year's 18s. I see Paramount 18s came in 19th of 24 in 18 Open at the Florida Fest qualifier and 13th out of 14 at SEQ in 18 Open. They are registered in 18 USA at NEQ, but I'm not sure if there are other qualifiers on their schedule. If they don't get a bid at NEQ, they could still potentially get a bid from CHRVA depending how reallocations play out.
