I generally think that the far left overreacts to Trump’s actions even though I disagree with those actions in virtually every instance.

This one scares me.

He can release an executive order, but the constitution is pretty clear about states having jurisdiction over their elections.

Does anyone else think that all of this is just to set the stage for him to claim that the elections were rigged and to completely reject the results. Obviously, this executive order is BS, but that might not be the end goal here?

Of course that is what he is doing. We have had 250 years of relatively free and fair elections and until 2020, none of them were at issue. All of the sudden, Donald claims 2020 was rigged, but somehow, 2024 wasn't rigged, but now elections going forward have to be 'fixed"

It isn't rocket science to figure out the game here.

Because he’s been testing the waters and getting more brazen until people like you finally decide it’s too far. All those warnings were accurate and now here we are.

The Fourteenth Amendment is also abundantly clear, but there’s no guarantee the Supreme Court will side with the Constitution.

He’s going to take this for a test run at the midterms, then get an idea of what he needs to succeed in 2028.

If he doesn't succeed in midterms, it will be too late for anything in 2028. He can't lose the midterms.

-Directive from the White House to USPS to NOT post mark mail in ballots
-Calls to Nationalize elections
-Calls to eliminate electronic voting
-The SAVE Act which will eliminate millions of voters
-Demands by DHS for Voter Rolls
-Demands by Trump to redistrict

and on and on an on...

This is like his pardon power. States control voting not federal government.

This is not the USSR. The president doesn’t have general “emergency” powers that allow him to act on whatever topic he wants.
