Has an immigrant ever hurt you personally?

I have had lots of positive experiences with immigrants as friends and coworkers, and contractors, never hurt by one in any way. Nor has any friend or family member been hurt by an immigrant. Have you ever been personally hurt by an immigrant?

Like physically, economically, emotionally? I’m a child of an immigrant and I get the most offensive slurs from immigrants for some reason.

Yeah, but nothing long-lasting. I got rear-ended by an undocumented and uninsured immigrant once.

But the most harm that’s come to me has come from American citizens. The guy who raped me. The friend who betrayed me and stole money from me. The police who didn’t believe me about my sexual assault.

No, but plenty of conservative Christian white people have hurt or disgusted me so badly that I avoid socializing with them. I keep my social circle very small.

Strongly in favor of immigration and have had mostly positive experiences, but have had two significant negatives:

1. Car accident caused by immigrants driving very recklessly (passing on the shoulder at speed). No ID, no insurance, reeking of weed.

2. Fully 25% of my kid’s 1st grade class spoke virtually no English. Teacher flatly told us that 80% of her time was occupied by trying to get them up to speed, so she had no time for other kids’ needs.

Many, many more positives than negatives with immigrants, but think we should be honest about the need to dramatically overhaul the system. Unfortunately and as usual, Trump doing it in the very worst way possible.

Everybody on that poster is deceased and cannot post in this thread. Then again, none of the thousands of people murdered by US citizens can post either.
