Yup, liquid, including spouse. But we're older & retired (ages 56 & 62). Home is paid off and kids are all launched and gone.

Yes. We were millionaires by about age 30. And that includes paying off $85K of student loans before we purchased our first home. Mid 50s now.

I wish I hadn't been told this, but I will be once my father dies. I'm single, rent a crappy apartment bc it's all I can afford, and will be over 50 when he dies since he's 78 now.

Well, I think it would be perfectly fine to ask for downpayment help if you want to buy a home. The worst he can do is say no.

Yes. 52/50. Net worth is $3million+ with home equity (not counting 529), 2.6million without.
