If your kid is not white do you make them carry identification around with them?

I have a 11 year old who likes to bike around our neighborhood to visit her friends. We are not white. Should I make sure she carries some sort of identification? We actually don't have anything for her other than her passport but obviously I would not feel comfortable with her just bringing that around with her to her friends houses and 711. What should we get? Some sort of modified license? A copy of her birth certificate?

What good would that do?

Does she carry a smartphone? An image of her American passport?

Also, airtag sewed on her clothes? I mean there are crazy racist administration MAGA people, and there are crazy perverted MAGA people. Have to protect from both.

I carry my driver's license now. And I am a licensed gun holder.

Sadly, in relation to ICE, I don't think ID would help her.

I'm a foreigner waiting for a green card, and I carry my work permit with me. My children are US citizens and only carry their driving license or school ID.

The thing is, we're not Hispanic looking and we live in Bethesda, and don't usually go to Hispanic areas. So we're not worried about random ICE checkpoints.

I am worried about USCIS finding a little flaw in my green card application and sending ICE straight to my door. They know where I live. No amount of ID carrying will helps us out then.

One of my kids is not white and I have been grappling with this question. She is in college and her passport is at home, though I could easily get it to her. That being said, it's kind of weird to carry it around and I don't actually think it would help.

Yes. Passport card on them when not home.

Every kid should. What if they get severely injured?

air tag and copy of birth certificate or passport.

So sad that babies have to worry about this.

Photocopy of passport, not actual passport.

Also make sure they memorize your cell phone number.

My kids are more or less white passing but my husband is not. He is also a dual citizen but carries around his US passport. Can never be too careful.
