Most of us have been posting examples of clear abuses of the law by ICE under the Minnesota ICE shooting thread about Renee Good. There’s now enough of these instances of abuse to warrant a standalone thread. Please post your examples here. And by abuse, I don’t just mean physical abuse, but abuse of civil and constitutional rights, including for US citizens.
I’ll start with this plea from an immigration attorney to journalists and others who can help her get her client out of ICE detention. Her client is a US citizen and possesses a US birth certificate. Apparently that proof was not enough for ICE authorities—they sent the woman to Louisiana, which usually is the step they take before deportation. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSaW0w4AMdn/?igsh=aGp6amlvcXNlOGd1 |
Just to note, she finally did get out of detention, it was more than 3 weeks but less than 4. What SCOTUS called a minor inconvenience. The Hmong-American US citizen who was removed in his underwear (NWS temps for that afternoon were between 2 and 6 above zero) interviewed by NBC https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/national-international/us-citizen-ice-minnesota-home-warrantless-search/3878477/ ICE used forced entry to his house without a warrant |

17 yo who is at his house is handcuffed because he has an accent (he points out that the ICE agent does too) |

What are these 'minor resolved cases'? "On September 18, ICE arrested Godfrey Oliver Wade, a criminal illegal alien from Jamaica. His criminal history includes domestic assault, criminal trespass, reckless conduct, deposit account fraud, violation of probation, multiple arrests for driving on a suspended license." |

MN press conference, police officers (POC) also being victimized when off duty |
That language comes directly from DHS, which has zero credibility. But even if it were true, he's been here over 50 years. Why didn't any other administration, including the Bushes and Trump 1, remove him? |
