Yet another ICE murder

“The death of a 55-year-old Cuban detainee who died on Jan. 3 at a federal immigration detention camp in El Paso was ruled a homicide Wednesday by the El Paso Medical Examiner’s office.

Geraldo Lunas Campos, who had been detained at Camp East Montana, died from “asphyxia due to neck and torso compression,” according to the autopsy report, meaning that he couldn’t breathe because of pressure on his neck and chest.”

A 21-year-old who demonstrated in Santa Ana, California, last Friday against the shooting death of Renee Good in Minnesota says exercising his right to free speech nearly cost him his life after a federal agent shot him with a less-lethal round — and that he now can't see out of his left eye.

"Not even light and I never will," Kaden Rummler told CBS News, explaining the extent of his injury.

At one point during the protest, which turned chaotic, a federal agent could be seen on video pulling a protester from the crowd. That was when Rummler, holding a megaphone, rushed toward the agent and protester, and was then shot in the eye with a less-lethal round at close range.

Video shows an agent dragging Rummler from the scene with his face covered in blood.

"I just started feeling like a bit of warmth down my, my face," Rummler recalled.

Rummler said doctors found plastic, metal and glass throughout his eye. He said metal is still lodged in his face a few millimeters from his carotid artery.

"My doctor said it's a miracle I'm still alive," Rummler said

You mean emptying an entire pint of pepper spray into the face of someone.
And lemme guess they added on a charge of "resisting" when the person struggled because they had pepper spray blasting in their face from an inch away.

Those ICE officers should be arrested for assault.

I've been fairly impressed by the local fox affiliate's coverage of this stuff. The first video of Renee Good's shooting was on Fox 9, it was thorough, with careful and deliberate commentary. They are presenting content questioning ICE /DHS claims regularly. I even sent them an email to express my appreciation.

Normally I rely on AP for news.

Warrantless raid, 6 people sent to Texas, feds claimed it was a drug operation but was processed as immigration. Judge has ordered release. Day AFTER the raid a purported warrant was left on the doorstep but missing required date and other information. DHS was given 72 hours to release them on Monday, IDK if they have been.

- no, you may not enter my property. I do not give you permission to…
- Please slide warrant under the door for my (my lawyer’s) review…

I know groups in the TC and elsewhere have provided specific instructions, I don't have any off hand.
But saying you need to see a judicial warrant is one. You can even open the door slightly to see the warrant, that does not give them consent to enter.
