Answered prayer

Anonymous
I want to relate a personal story about a recently answered prayer. I never thought this specific prayer would be answered. I pray and talk to God everyday, and see prayer as a personal conversation and relationship with God. I always thank Him for His grace and His love and mercy.

I had a very difficult situation that has been unresolved for over 30 years. I had struggled and sought therapy. Therapy helped with accepting the situation and understanding how to cope with the situation, but could not fix the situation. I resolved to move forward and live the best life I could and keep loving God and my fellow man.

My prayer was answered unexpectedly. I met my youngest child for dinner, just a normal meal. We weren’t celebrating anything, we just had a chance to spend time together. My phone gave me an alert and I glanced at the email and there it was. The most unexpected and amazing answered prayer, sitting in my inbox. I felt like I was having an out of body experience. It was the first time I have ever experienced something that to me personally was a miracle.

I don’t know how to explain this as anything other than a miracle. I silently showed my son the email and as he read the words, he began to cry in the restaurant.

I don’t believe every prayer is answered the way we may want it to be, and I don’t expect God to grant our prayers like a customer service agent. But, this experience has transformed my life in many ways. If you are struggling and feel as if God isn’t listening to you or has forgotten you, I truly don’t think He has. Thank you for taking a moment to sit with me here and read this. It means a lot to me.

Love this.

I sometimes hear atheists say that there cannot be a God because there are no longer miracles. That if they saw miracles like the ones Jesus performed, then they would believe.

I think there are miracles happening every day — every hour infact. Unexplainable things are happening everywhere.

🙏 amen. What a blessing thank you for sharing.

You have me wondering what prayer was answered in an email though but God works in ALL ways. ❤️

Glad he answered your prayer and not the prayers of the little kid with terminal brain cancer.

God answers all prayers. OP waited 30 years to see the result of her prayer.

Thank you for posting this OP.
