My prayer was answered unexpectedly. I met my youngest child for dinner, just a normal meal. We weren’t celebrating anything, we just had a chance to spend time together. My phone gave me an alert and I glanced at the email and there it was. The most unexpected and amazing answered prayer, sitting in my inbox. I felt like I was having an out of body experience. It was the first time I have ever experienced something that to me personally was a miracle.

I don’t know how to explain this as anything other than a miracle. I silently showed my son the email and as he read the words, he began to cry in the restaurant.

I don’t believe every prayer is answered the way we may want it to be, and I don’t expect God to grant our prayers like a customer service agent. But, this experience has transformed my life in many ways. If you are struggling and feel as if God isn’t listening to you or has forgotten you, I truly don’t think He has.
