Coworker just announced she has a cold and when pressed by another coworker, jokingly said “Oh, I guess I’m breaking the rules.”
It’s gross. Don’t do it. |
| Maybe work should allow teleworking then! |
OP and we DO allow telework which is what kills me. |
Unlimited telework? because otherwise people aren't wasting it for sniffles |
| Its so rude. You should say something let them know its not ok. |
| a cold are you serious, that is barely sick. |
Well I don't have any telework and it's nonstop coughing over here. I'm seriously worried sitting at my desk. We were just sick for 2 weeks and I don't want to get sick again. |
| I hope she is courteous enough to wear a mask. If so, nbd. Stay away and wash your hands a lot and you probably won't get it. |
| correct they need to take PTO |
| report them to HR |
| If my husband gets it at work, I’m sending him right back to share it with you all. It’s really crummy as just a cold lasts weeks for me with multiple steroids and antibiotics. He gets no pto. No work, no pay. |
This is a pretty serious offense, I would consider reporting it to the police. Maybe even the FBI. |
a cold or covid, no way to tell at this point. many people get pneumonia from every other cold, so it can be serious. but until we see unlimited telework and/or sick leave, people will come to the office to not burn it except when they really can't work. |
| whomp whomp |
You should be masking if you are concerned. |
