| What are your thoughts? My housekeeper says it is. |
| I wish I moved there instead of my snooty neighborhood. It's diverse, has much cheaper housing, is relatively convenient, and has good public schools. There are some interesting shops and restaurants, particularly ethnic ones. Is it a suburban hellscape? Yes. But so is lots of NoVa. |
| One man’s “bootyhole” is another man’s paradise. Do you always base your real estate decisions based on what your housekeeper says🤔 |
| Did you miss the thread on Woodbridge? |
My housekeeper is an incredibly astute woman who I happen to respect. |
| Absolutely not - that's either south Arlington, parts of Alexandria, Seven Corners or Woodbridge |
| If true, I’m loving life in “the bootyhole”. |
| I’m looking to buy there next year! |
| Have you met Columbia Pike through Bailey’s Crossroads and South Arlington? The Rt. 1 corridor around the infamous Lockheed Blvd. near the 7-11? Those are the armpits. Springfield is fine in comparison, just very trafficky and congested. |
| City of Alexandria and hoodbridge are the bootyhole of the area. |
| Seems like there's lots of competition for the bootyhole title in Nova. |
|
I think it is. Close anyway. From what I've seen. Over the past 20 years I've lived in Rosslyn, Clarendon, Falls Church, Vienna, and now -- as of this spring -- on the Occoquan River about halfway between Manassas and Woodbridge. And I've been just about everywhere in NoVA. The Dale City area of Woodbridge is quite awful, but I have an even more negative reaction when I drive through Springfield (which I sometimes do on my commute home when Waze takes me that way).
It's definitely a contender. |
| I thought it was the armpit? |
You live on the Occoquan River between Manassas and Woodbridge? And sometimes drive through Springfield? I definitely trust your judgement. /s |
| Woodbridge .. no, Dale City .. Dale City wins this award |
