Who do you think is going to win and why?

It won’t be close.
We will know Tuesday night.
I wish I had the same feeling about the senate.
I also have a feeling about the Supreme Court but I’ll save that for after the election.

Harris will win. Ds will lose the Senate and the House is up in the air. She’ll have her work cut out for her.

I personally think that would be an ideal outcome.

Okay but could we please just get rid of Ted Cruz?

Yes, I would love that too. Harris wins, Cruz goes, Rs win Senate and House.

Get rid of Trump and MAGAs forever but repudiate the insane extreme left. That would be awesome.

Women will turn out. I think this time moderate women are the silent swing voters.

Nope. The republicans have to be taught a lesson in the house. You need to come clean about how bad the republicans have become. You can’t keep blaming the handful of squad members. Not when the entire republican house caucus has become a dysfunctional cesspool of right wing extremists.

I used to think like this. Back in the days before Newt Gingrich, I felt that having one party in the POTUS position and another controlling Congress probably led to more cooperation and legislating toward the middle. But this has not been the case for some time. If the GOP is in charge of Congress, we get nothing done. Their mantra since Newt is that cooperation is weakness and Dems are the enemy. Gone are the days of working together to accomplish things. After decades of reaching out only to be belittled, I think Dem lawmakers have had enough and aren't as interested in working together either. Why would they be?

Agreed. I am tired of the BS both sides stuff. The majority of Dems are not extreme left. I'm tired of this crap. Trump and his supporters need to go if we will ever make progress in this country. We need people willing to work together. In order for that to happen, the MAGA lying and grievance train needs to go away.

I agree that the MAGA grievance train needs to go away, but I think it is bizarre to say that the current Democratic Party doesn’t give significant power to the extreme left wing.

In any event, hopefully Harris will defeat Trump in a landslide (which I am increasingly thinking is possible), Cruz gets booted, the Senate goes Republican, and I guess I can live with a Democratic House if it’s close and the moderates win their races.

Anonymous wrote:I was really worried Trump was going to win, but then I just saw 40 year old cat lady and comedic actress Aubrey Plaza has joined the faux outrage about an actual comedian's joke, and I believe that's going to put Harris over the top.

It must be nice to be so privileged that you can brush off a candidate for President who has said that immigrants are "poisoning the blood of our country" who called them "vermin," "rapists," and "criminals" hired and vetted a comedian who said that Puerto Rico is a "floating pile of garbage" as "faux outrage" and "just a joke."

I'm sure you'll try to come back saying "well he didn't mean..." or "well actually technically..." or this, that, and the other, seemingly without any self-awareness that when someone has made dozens and dozens of dog-whistley racist statements that require explanation and interpretation that they no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt.

In fact, at this point the pattern is so clear that the only rational explanation for providing so much cover and defense is that you know what he really meant and support it. And on the off chance that you don't actually, this is your notice that when intelligent people see you defend these things, that's the clear message you are sending.

Delaware-raised Aubrey is so in tune with Puerto Rico in her $5 million Hollywood Hills mansion. Aubrey doesn't even speak Spanish. A comedic actress whose whole shtick for the last 20 years is being a cruel mean girl is suddenly deeply offended by a joke. Womp, womp.

You'll notice I didn't mention Aubrey Plaza once in that reply. The fact that your only response is completely fixated on her and neglects to even mention the greater effects and implication of the actual "joke" says everything I need to know. You can't defend the indefensible and the fact that you won't even try makes it clear you support it.

Even on an anonymous forum you're too cowardly to own your racism and have to dance around it, but we all know what you're saying.

Anyone remember that Kamala called Joe Biden a racist during a debate in the 2019 primary, but as soon as it advanced her interest, she said "it was only a debate" and she didn't mean it? She is doing the same thing today with this Nazi stuff and nobody believes her.

Nobody believes anything that comes out of her mouth because she is a phony liar who says whatever she has to in order to get ahead. Meanwhile Biden called half of Americans garbage. I guess calling them Nazi's wasn't enough. I'm sure this will go over well with voters.

Oh come on. This isn’t even honest. Whatever, hopefully people like you will be consigned to your echo chamber and the rational people can take over.

Most of Biden’s staffers, for one. That’s how we ended up with deeply unpopular nonsense like gutting Title IX. Biden himself is a moderate but was too incapacitated to control his radical staffers.

Biden campaigned as a moderate but governed as an extreme progressive, which is why he is so wildly unpopular now.
