I know of several that had offers with NVA but when FXU

How many went to FXU?

Sounds like 6 went to SYC and 1 to NVA

2 went to FXU.

2011G?

Yes bc the try-out is a formality. They aren't moving anyone down for business reasons so they are just trying to fill the bottom teams and it doesn't really matter how you play at try-outs for that.

You are 2 weeks behind all the other regional teams in tryouts and some have already concluded. With that, they have locked in some of the players you never even saw. Every year, we as parents scratch our heads trying to figure out how you are supposed to grow if you make these same basic mistakes. Tryouts start in late April, not Mid May and you aren't good enough for kids to pass on other clubs.

This is on brand for them. We already have an offer to Pre-ECNL or academy team at another club. Their tryouts are a joke. I would hold on to the purse strings.

If your kid really loves soccer i would highly urge you to look elsewhere. Development at this club suck. This is specifically true for the girls side. If you are looking for an expensive rec league atmosphere then this is the club for you.

I disagree. They really suck.

Beware of valor trying to create 4th and 5th teams this year. They will most likely be in the lowest division.

Worry about their top 'pre ecnl' teams. Bottom team players from other clubs are getting offers from Valor gold teams.

This is the same as every other year and not a surprise for anyone. Where else would the be playing? Look at the NCSL lowest divisions. Valor Black, Valor Silver, Valor Blue. Their second teams are usually in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th division.

Which age group? U11 or U12? Boys or girls?

Also gold is second team starting next year so if the offer says gold team it is not pre ECNL.

Sounds like an attempt to confuse their customers.

Agree that it's confusing, but I think other clubs are starting to do this too. At Vienna for example red is top team at U9/U10 but then it becomes second team at U11. There was another thread about it recently...

Wow the vitriol in this group is strong. ECNL made the naming change requirement, it was not Valor or any other clubs decision.

Yeah, Valor sucks but the name change thing was not their idea.

Absolutely, I wouldn't put any stock into the team designated color. Understanding the level of play, performance of the potential players and obtaining as much early incite is important. Number 1-2 teams have already been pre-chosen. In changing age groups, unless your kid is performing in there current team as in the top 10 percent, good luck into moving him up.
