Its pathetic to desperately try to fill your lower teams with any warm body who can pay $3300. Kind of the opposite of elite is when CYA rec families are laughing at you.

OK and what if there are 8 families that want to play and they need 2 or 3 more to allow those kids to have a team to play for? I also don't know where this 3300 number came from. Are you trying to exaggerate everything?

2012 and 2013s play full fields, so the roster size is more like 17+ players.

Most normal clubs plan on their number of teams before tryouts, and hire coaches. They hire 2 coaches for 2013 boys, then they hold tryouts and select the best 36 players. The rest who don't make the cut, go elsewhere, to Valor, or to rec.

Valor doesn't hire coaches before tryouts. Holds tryouts and tries to make enough teams to include every single kid who tried out. The bottom teams are half full, so they need more players. (seriously, have you ever heard of Valor rejecting anyone?)

If there are 8 kids who want to play, but their kid wasn't one of the top 55+ players out of 65 players at tryouts..well, maybe this isn't their sport?

Has anyone not made a Valor team before? I can't think of anyone I know.

Hey stupid, what club doesn't require a kit?

Fees pay for:
- Coaches
- Fields
- League fees
- Tournaments
- State registration

Doesn't matter which club or league, when it's all added up it will be around 3k. I've seen other clubs say they are cheaper (2k/year) but it doesn't include travel to tournaments for the coach, tournament fees, they add in a "performance" coach, and you end up with > 3k bill.

Yes....the kit is part of the COST.

Its well-established that Valor overcharges --above market rate-- for all of their teams except their ECRL teams, where their fee is about even with their competitors.

Paul, shouldn't you get back to trying to fill those bottom revenue teams with literally any child born in the correct year?

What happened with the 2010 ecrl boys? Most of the team left and they don't have enough players.

Do not join any valor team below top team. Though most top teams are questionable, below that you are paying 3k for better kits to play rec. As long as PE is running it expect nothing. They have heard the criticism but nothing will change as long as you suckers keep paying.

They are having parents on the 2012 and 2013 worst teams order uniforms even though they only have a handful of players (meaning like 5 or 6 kids) committed to those teams. What's the plan, find 10 more players for each team before August?

Merge the teams (even smaller clubs have to do that sometimes)
