Women, at what age did you find men become "old"?

Anonymous
Is there a big difference between men in their forties versus fifties or sixties? What does that look like? Lookswise or less energy? How should women be looking at aging in men when it comes to a relationship? I keep seeing posts in which women date younger men but am not really interested in that due to shared life milestones. In mid-40s if that makes a difference.

60 as a ballpark, many earlier than that, a few as late as 62.

I’m 39, so at that fun age where I’ve dated from 25-55.

I’ve found 40ish is when men start to tank - they lose their sex drive, lose energy, tend to go on autopilot and just coast through the rest of their career. There’s a HUGE difference in the bedroom between a 35 year old and 45 year old.

The sweet spot for me is 33-36, although right now I’m dating a really great 30yo. I worried about the lack of shared life milestones, but all of his friends are married with young kids, and he actively helps care for them, so he “gets” it so to speak.

Women "hit the wall" as they say around menopause, so late 40s to late 50s women age fast.

Men don't hit a wall really, and age like wine IF they take care of themselves.

However like wine, eventually they do hit a wall, albeit a smaller wall, eventually. If they take care of themselves, that is usually in their 70s when they catch up to women in aging looks.

TLDR Women 40s-50s. Men 70s. Which is why a 10-20 year age gap is best for women/men.

Men = 60. I can't think of a single man over 60 who is f*******.

Are you talking about 20-30 years ago, or now? I'd definitely date Brad Pitt circa 2000. Now? No thank you. Old.

Completely depends on the man.

Does this mean women who don't want to date anyone in their 30s are doomed to be with men who can't keep up?

Tom Cruise? Have you seen him lately? And also if that’s the best you can do, men over 60 are in even rougher shape than I thought.

But I know tons of attractive women in their 50s - men that age not at all and definitely not older than that.

My husband is 54 and acting more like an old man. Turning into his dad and not in a good way.

+1 DH is 60, I'm 54. DH always looked younger than his age before 60, even into his 50s. Now, even he says he's looking old.
