Zepbound is changing my life

I really do think it is a miracle. My belly fat is gone, my energy is up, my inflammation is way down. I don't know why I waited so long. I am not a shill! Just saying - it helped. AMA

Careful. Lots of issues from Zepbound. Pancreatitis is a known issue.

What do you mean "my inflammation is way down"? Inflammation of what? How do you experience "inflammation"? I am not aware of what that feels like unless we're talking about a sprain or something.

Maybe OP is referring to swollen legs or feet?

A friend of mine is on Zepbound. She has easily lost at least 50 pounds over the last nine months and looks amazing. She also has rheumatoid arthritis, and she says it has greatly helped with that. However, every time I see her, she complains about no energy. Every time she has a reason, “I didn’t sleep well, I have a cold, I stayed up late…” But after nine months and literally, I hear her say I’m tired 2 to 3 times a week… I’m starting to be concerned. She will zone out when we are together. Not the same fun and energetic person she used to be. Several of us (her friends) are concerned…
I’m still on the fence, I don’t think I want to be low energy like her.

I'm on Wegovy and with the appetite suppression it's really easy to not eat enough calories in the day, which makes me very tired. I have to be conscious of making sure I'm getting enough water and at least 1200 calories or I just want to go to sleep!

It's a better problem than never being able to think of anything but food, but it can still be a problem.

Not OP, and I'm on Wegovy, not Zepbound. But when I went to the dentist for a regular cleaning about 6 months after starting Wegovy, the hygienist was amazed and asked "What are you doing? Your gums are completely better?" This was after years of seeing me and my periodontal disease. She called the dentist in, and the dentist said "Oh, are you on a GLP-1?" and I said "Yes," and she said "That's it. We're seeing majorly reduced inflammation from it."

PP at 12:44 here. Yeah, not gonna lie, the fatigue has been debilitating for me. I feel better than I did when obese, but it's rough. I'm about at goal and hoping that going down to a maintenance dose is going to help.

You may not be familiar with it but inflammation is actually the driver of many (most) chronic conditions. Chronic inflammation has been linked to many medical conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, depression and autoimmune disorders. In short, inflammation is the body’s defense system at work, but when it doesn’t turn off properly, it can become a driver of disease.

OP, I’m happy for you! Same for me, with Wegovy. My energy is back, I sleep well, no aches and pains, and my bloating indigestion is gone.
My insurance needs a prior auth renewal and I’m now 8 days without it and kind of scared.

Yes, I know what the wellness influencers say. It's something bad, that you can't see/ perceive, but it's killing you and the only way to reverse it is with one simple trick, right?

Any actual scientists around who can shed some light on the health boogeyman du jour?

DP but inflammation is not a gimmick and it's strange that you seem to think so. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/symptoms/21660-inflammation

Many autoimmune diseases are, at core, just chronic inflammation. Rheumatoid arthritis is one, but also psoriasis, MS, and Crohn's. https://www.autoimmuneinstitute.org/articles/inflammation-a-driving-force-of-autoimmune-disease/
